A very fine late 19th. century Chinese wooden Table Screen with an inlaid Ivory plaque. The ivory is carved with a courtly scene of a gentleman sitting on a throne on a terrace surrounded by attendants. Other figures are going about their daily business in the adjacent gardens. The reverse has an etched scene of a lady in a landscaped garden. The screen measures 34 by 40 cms. including the base and the ivory is 27 by 7 cms. at the widest end. It is in overall good condition.
