An interesting late 19th. century, possibly Seto Ware, Japanese Porcelain Hand Warmer. It is painted with sprays of bamboo and foliage and has the copper handles. There are piercings to the base which were probably meant for the attachment of feet. It is in perfect condition and measures 7 1/2 ins.(19 cms.) by 5 3/4 ins.(14.5 cms.) and is 4 ins.(10 cms.) high.
A very rare pair of late 17th. century Japanese Arita Wall Pockets. There is some minor cracking to the backs as can be seen in the pictures. The fronts are in good condition. They are 11 ins.(28 cms.) high.
