Lovely blue Staffordshire transferware platter marked Davenport circa 18335. Measures 18 3/4 x 15. This platter is in beautiful condition with no chips cracks or repairs of any kind. The front depicts a oriental chinoiserie scene.

Extra large size well and tree staffordshire turkey platter with deep well in medium blue. This platter measures 21 1/4" x 17 1/2" x 3" and depicts a lovely allegorical scene. There is a tiny chip to the underside of the foot on the bottom of the platter that does not detract. This platter has no cracks, dirt or restoration of any kind.

Beautiful staffordshire transferware platter with romantic genre scene of a woman who appears to be feeding a man with a crutch. Platter measures 18 1/4 x 14 1/4. No chips cracks or restoration of any kind. There is a small stilt mark on the front of the platter, which is photographed. The color is medium to dark blue. Platter circa 1830

Hollow cut american silhouette of Rufus Sikes, done in 1829 when he was 30 years of age. This portrait was cut by an unknown person know as "the letterpress artist of Connecticut" who used the letterpress technique to identify his sitters. The silhouette is mounted in a mahogany frame of the period, but may not be original to the silhouette. Lovely oval map sampler of England and Wales backed in linen, and conservation mounted to an oval board. It is unframed. This sampler is circa 1825 and done by Ann Bryant, who embroidered her name in the bottom left of the sampler. Map samplers were done as a form of advanced needlework to teach stitching and geography as well. This is a lovely example with silk embroidered flowers around the outside edge.
