Northern New Mexico 19th century Height 153.5cm width 91.5cm Depth 26cm Free standing shelves of pine. The four shelves are tenoned into the ends. The scalloped skirts and edgings are attached with hand wrought square blacksmiths nails. The bottom shelf has a so-called dimple and the shelf skirt in front of it has a worn area. Both of these worn areas are from water ollas being moved on and off the shelf.

New Mexico 1st half of 19th century height 89cm width 37cm. Each chair was constructed by mortise and tenon. The back slats were joined by the use of closed mortise. Original rawhide seats and backs are secured by original blacksmith's nails. No later additional nails were used. One chair with later corner blocks.
