Exquisitely beautifully, hand-painted 9” plate artist signed; F. Micklewright for the Foley China Co, England. (Foley was the parent company of Shelley China) Lovely butter cream border with acid etched, 24 karat gold on the rim. Bird name painted on the back, "Prairie Chicken".
This plate is part of a collection of 10 different plates: Curlew, Partridge, Ptarmigan, Red Grouse, Ring Plover, Teal, Wood Pigeon, Woodcock.

A stunning pair of French Rosa Opaline style urns from the late 19th century. This pair of exquisite and charming urns, have the classic shape and style associated with the period. Delicate floral/vine pattern gilding accentuates two sides. The finial is gilded as well as a band separating the foot and urn base. The sides handled and add to the fluidity of the piece.
