An English snuff or patch box, enamel on copper, Georgian, c 1770, with roses and scrollwork in Rococo style on a puce background, gilt metal hinge and rim. Patches, often in black silk, were used to conceal scars or blemishes from smallpox or other diseases. Diameter "2 ¾ / 6,8 cm, height "1 ½ / 3 cm. Condition: Extensive wear and around the edges repair, most of which has been removed.

A pair of late 18th/early 19th century Chinese cloisonne enamel lobed plant pots. These similar but not identical 7-1/2" x 5-3/4" bowls feature blue grounds and well-executed multi-colour cloisonne designs. They are both footed and unsigned and each has water drain holes in the bottoms. This rare, possibly unique clock is one of the last from my personal collection. Unlike the very common iron bodied clocks of the 1880’s this one is heavily enameled in bright orange and gold. Clearly part of the oriental craze in Victorian times yet very un-Victorian in style. There are as you can see some small chips in the enameled and the wooden back is missing. I don’t think the Ansonia movement is original and the bell hammer has been clipped so it does not clang...

A lovely lady in a burgundy gown graces the front of this antique French enamel and foil vase. It is completely hand painted and signed by the artist, which appears to be "Vibert". The background is a soft pastoral scene with the appearance of an early sunset. The gracious lady who has a demure smile and is holding a staff is executed in enamel. Her silver hair is swept in an up-do and her burgundy dress is highlighted with gold dots...
