Rarely do we find such pristine vintage jewelry from the 1940s, but fortune smiled on us with this gold filled floral bouquet with faux saphire center stones which are fully faceted in 4 prong settings. The condition is marvelous. The back is stamped with a 15 and Van Dell 1/20 12K GF. But that is not all. The brooch is accompanied by a matching pair of screw back earrings. And if that weren't enough, this demi-parure retains its original presentation box...
A coveted, not very easy to find Sigi Pineda necklace in the often referred to as the "peas in a pod" design, this is one of the maestro's most impressive exercises in assymetry and niello work. Pictured in P. Morrill's, William Spratling and the Mexican Silver Renaissance on p. 53 in the exact same configuration, the necklace glistens in a "dark" yet magical way with its graduated brushed sterling "peas" nestled in the longer side of the "pod"...
