A wonderful Modernist brooch / clip by H. Stern. The piece is composed of various sized inverted diamond like gold shapes put together in an abstract manner, surrounding a prong set amethyst. The 16 carat (20 mm by 15 mm) amethyst has beautiful deep color. The piece is marked 750 and also has the H. Stern maker's mark. It measures 2" in height and 1 1/2" in width. It weighs 17.6 grams and is in excellent condition. The brooch dates c. 1960s.

A modernist period 14K gold pendant with a triangular emerald in the center. The bale is 14K white gold with four channel set diamonds. Not sure if it started life with the pendant. The emerald has very nice color and has some natural inclusions, which are to be expected. The piece is signed, and appears to be dated 1958. Dimensions: Length: 2 1/4", Width: 5/8", Weight: 4.6 grams. It tests 14K. Condition is excellent.

A fine Gurhan 24K gold rose cut faceted lemon citrine ring. The ring is Marked Gurhan .990 Serial Number R7368. The stone diameter is 20 mm, the ring is a size 6 1/2 with a 7/8" diameter. Condition is excellent and it is hand hammered.
Fabulous geometric collar made in England of 9k yellow gold. Well constructed articulated links stretch all the way around the necklace. The chevron shaped points in the front measure approximately .75" at their widest. At their thinnest, they measure .25" and at the back of the necklace, where there is no chevron, the linked portion is 3/16" wide. Cleverly made 14 karat gold ring that looks like three bands but is actually one continuous one. It has the streamlined, open and airy look characteristic of modernist designer Betty Cooke's work. The ring is size 6 1/4. Cooke's work is in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and the Museum of Art and Design.

The necklace is made of 2 sets of 4 twisted gold cables that crisscross and run behind 5 highly polished oval/egg shaped discs. I see little evidence that this necklace was ever worn. The design appears to be 1960's.
