American A Victorian gutta percha necklace in the most wonderful condition. The links are just about flawless in finish and detail. The necklace is 18 inches long. The gutta percha links are graduated in size from 3/8" x 5/8" to 1" x 1 1/4" Original clasp. Gutta percha, a resin, comes from the trees of South Asia and was used extensively in Victorian era jewelry. In absolutely pristine condition. Rare!
This necklace, restrung with vintage gold-filled lobed roundels, features white chalcedony beads hand carved in the shaped of tulip-like blooms. There are some variations in the shade of the beads, with the darker ones strung at the back of the necklace. There are a few minor chips, mostly to the tips of a few petals. The beads were most likely carved in Germany or Austria. Each bead measures about 5/8 inch long by about 1/2 inch wide...

This is a beautiful piece in excellent condition and made of hundreds of angel skin coral beads woven into a larger outer cylinder connected to a smaller inner woven cylinder. The total length is slightly over 16 in length and 3/4 of an inch in width at the widest point in the center. It is slightly graduated in its width. The beads are gorgeous and in clean, excellent condition. The clasp is gold over silver and is stamped "925" for sterling. The gold finish is in excellent condition...
