Large Japanese single sided kaidon tansu (step chest) in two sections, made all of solid keyaki (elm) wood with beautiful grain and natural light blonde color; the top section has four steps with two compartments opened by small hinged doors, a large compartment with sliding panels and one drawer; the bottom section has a very large compartment opened with vertical slatted sliding panels and five drawers.
