Antique colonial 18th Century George III bugbear coconut powder flask carved in relief, with two oval medallions. The front medallion encloses a crown, and the back medallion encloses a heart surrounded by stiff leaves, all against hatched grounds. Dated 1888 and clearly marked as issued to the 126th Jaeger Battalion, this pair of rare and desirable Imperial German cartridge boxes are in very good condition. The leather closure tabs are not broken and the interior dividers are complete and undamaged. The stitching on both box lids is tight and complete. One box is slightly more scuffed on the exterior but both have the original finish and have not been colored with shoe polish. A great addition to any Gew. 88 collection.

This is really a nice piece. I would assume this likely saw use in WWI but would guess the compass is actually made right around 1900. Compass works perfectly and is marked as being made in Germany. The cse was obviously made for this particular compass as the fit is real snug and the base of the compass loop nestles perfectly in the hole in the hole. Closes securely with a pressure fit. Hinge is well made and in good shape. No damage found and a nice, even patina throughout...

This is a World War II ~ WWII English GOGGLES. They measure about 6 3/4" X 3" X 2 1/4" ( 17.2 cm X 7.7 cm X 5.7 cm ). On one side of the metal frame it reads Stadium Made in England. On the other side it reads Patent Reg Design.
