Terrific quality GIL leader dagger. GIL was the Fascist youth movement and basically equivalent to the Hitler Youth. This dagger also includes the extremely hard to find leather hanger. These hangers were not particularly well made and the leather used is a bit flimsy so few have survived the decades. This set looks to have been together for the duration...

Terrific example by A C Co which is far scarcer then LF&C. This M1917 trench knife (Also known as The Knuckle Duster) has a nice, smooth, unsharpened triangular blade. The knuckle guard is clean as a whistle and backmarked A.C.Co. USA 1917. The grip shows a nice, healthy wood mostly free of damage except for 5 notches that look intentionally placed. The hard to find scabbard is in similar solid condition with all rivets in place...

Probably German, a style used since the late 15th century for thrust and parry during combat. The dagger, overall, is extremely well-balanced with its fulcrum located precisely at the rectangular block that forms the steel quillon bar. Solid hexogonal-shaped quillons flare outward to terminate with a button finial; and steel pommel, though somewhat rounded in appearance, demonstrates stylistic similarities as it flares outward with flattened sides...

These officer's bladed sword sticks were used from pre-revolutionary war through the war of 1812 as a means of back up defense when one ought to have been unarmed. This blade type was introduced in 1796 replacing the earlier 1786 pattern. It was similar to its predecessor in having a spadroon style form ( three hollow surfaces coming to a slender point ). Excellent antique condition with some black rust and a fine patina overall. 35 1/2" long overall, blade is 27" long...
