A delightful and diminutive, circa 1950's set of children's wooden architectural building blocks marked "Made in Japan". Measuring a slight 4" x 5", the brightly painted blocks are housed in a cardboard box featuring a darling, colorful graphic of a child playing with them. Condition is quite fine with the exception noted of 2 missing blocks.
Offered is an antique, C1910, German-made dexterity puzzle that measures 1 15/16" in diameter and 3/8" thick. This delightful game features a fixed, small mouse trap with two, moving, metal mice. The object of the game is to get the mice into the trap.
Colorful detailing of cats on cardboard covered-bottom is marked "Made in Germany". Tin frame holds game with glass cover on one side and mirror on reverse side.

This great card set has never been opened / used and has 2 sets of colorful cards. The plastic around the box is slightly torn; but the box still cannot be opened unless the plastic is completely taken off. The box has a velvet feel with gold trim and measures 5" x 3 3/4". The top reads CONGRESS Playing Cards, CEL-U-TONE FINISH and Only Congress Cards have CEL-U-TONE FINISH. This set is circa 1950s.
SOLD: I love the lithograph on the front of this game and on the Fortune Teller. The game can be played by several but one person is the Fortune Teller. A player spins the wheel and whatever card that the wand points to, the Fortune Teller reads the fortune from the pamphlet and rules that comes with the game.

This great vintage bridge set is still in its original packaging - never opened / used - mint. The box set measures 10 3/4" x 7 1/2" and reads, "LEARN TO PLAY BRIDGE... According to HOYLE." It includes a Bridge Instruction book, 2 decks of cards and a scorepad. The cards are colorful: one deck a bunny rabbit, the other a chipmunk. It is especially unique because it comes with the teaching bridge booklet. The set is circa 1950's or 1960's.
This circa 1920's, children's outdoor game made by Parker Brothers of Salem, Massachusetts, retains all of its original game pieces as well as the original game box cover, which has been professionally matted with museum quality, acid-free materials. (Alas, the remainder of the game box disintegrated long ago.)

A delightful 19th century children's game based on Daniel Defoe's classic book Robinson Crusoe. This game entitled "Robinson Crusoe and His Man Friday" has 28 of the original 30 cards (cards are 2.25x3.25 inches) each with etched, hand-colored images of Robinson Crusoe, his man Friday and a host of plant life, animals and objects that might be found on Crusoe's island. The cards are in fine condition, showing just a hint of age.

You teddy bear collectors know that in the original story of Theodore Roosevelt and the bear hunt, the killing of the wounded young bear was an act of mercy...
Not just for children, these blocks are even a challenge for adults! The German's are known for their excellent chromolithographs and these are wonderful depictions of Victorian children and their dogs and animals at play in various scenes. There are 4 different scenes included but I have finally figured out the 5th and am working on the final 6th scene(I told you it's a challenge...sooo much fun!)
