This sublime vase with a wonderful crackled golden glaze was made by Robert Lallemant (1902-1954), ca 1930.
Robert Lallemant is a recognized designer/potter from the Art Deco era, an avant garde artist who has influenced many ceramists of the 20th century.

The breton broderie motif (suggesting lace) was used as the border element on these expertly painted platters, made for the Grande Maison HB pottery in Quimper, France, between 1925 and 1930. The central decors are a woman sitting in a field holding a wine or water jug and a man sitting on a rock smoking his pipe. Both figures were hand painted by an artist identified as A (not an amateur pieceworker). The pieces were molded with two holes for hanging with manilla twine...
An urn vase by the Hungarian manufacturer Herend, founded in 1826 and still working. The urn is the raspberry red version of the Chinese Bouquet pattern, the mark indicates a date before 1980. No lid. Height "8¾/ 22,5 cm. Condition: fine.

Like an English summer the hedgerow was the source of food for wildlife and birds and for beautiful wildflowers that wove their way through the tangle of limbs. This interpretation by Shelley China features bright flowers circling the entire cup and saucer, with more blooms inside the cup. The smaller size would have been used for after dinner coffee, not tea. Both pieces ring and are in perfect condition...
A finely sculpted bust of a young man with exceptional patina of finely blended earth and bronze pigments. Physical condition is superb, but a small amount of finish has worn around the left eye and on the top of the head exposing a green substrate, yet harmonious with the earthen finish. Signed on the back of the neck. We have been unable to decipher the signature; yet the work speaks well for the unidentified artist.

Goldscheider began in Austria in 1885 where it operated until 1938 when Walter and Marcell Goldscheider emigrated from Austria to the United States and United Kingdom respectively...

A German porcelain chicken figural schnapps or liquor decanter with glasses or cups and tray from the 1920s. This set is in orange, green and yellow luster and the cork-lined stopper shaped like feathers lifts off to reveal a filling hole. It is fully hand painted, the chicken is 8-1/2" long, the two-handled tray is 9-5/8" long and the schnapps shot glasses stand 1-5/8" high and fit on indented circles on the tray...
