A nicely decorated flaring oval fruit or chestnut basket with openwork sides and handles at either end. The red stencil mark on the base of an “A” with a crown is that of the factory at the Rue Thiroux under Marie Antoinette’s protection. It is decorated with sprigs on the bottom of the inside, dots at the intersection of the open weave sides, stripes of red and blue alternating with white on the base, a blue line around the handle and a gilt rim with dentil gilding on the outside edge...

An intertwined double handled large sauceboat decorated with flowers on both the inside and the outside. Gilding on the base, handles and on the rim with dentil decoration on the outside edge. 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm) tall, 9 inches (23 cm) long and 7 ¼ inches (18 cm) across the handles. Circa 1780.

Condition: no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Gilding wear around the rim and especially on the handles.

A porcelain dinner plate decorated with a gilt rim, a gilt rope with flowers on the lip and floral sprays in the well. Marked in overglaze red enamel on the back “B/Potter/1” The mark is probably from around 1794 for the short lived partnership of Potter and Blancheron.

Condition: Two hairlines and some stacking wear

A lobed dinner plate with a gilt rim, a gilt circle entwined with floral ropes on the lip and a worn monogram enclosed by a blue circle wrapped with a gilt wreath in the well. Diameter 9 1/8 inches (23 cm). Marked in underglaze blue on the back with the Seguin factory mark. The factory was active in Vincennes from roughly 1779 to 1788.

Condition: Enough wear to the enamel painting in the well to be distracting. There are internal and rim hairlines.

A lobed dinner plate with dentil gilt rim, the lip with a garland of flowers and leaves twined around a thick gold band and the center of the well with a large spray of roses surrounded by smaller sprays of flowers. Diameter 9 ½ inches (24 cm). The mark in underglaze blue on the back is the crossed torches of Locre, sometimes called La Courtille. The factory was active from 1773 to 1824...

A lobed dinner plate 9 ½ inches (24 cm) diameter decorated with a sprig of cornflowers (?) in the center of the well surrounded with numerous single red or gilt flowers. The lip is decorated with richly gilt and enamel swags surrounding floral cartouches. The rubbed overglaze “VV” on the back is the mark for the Verneuilh factory. It dates from the 1780’s; possibly 1787 when Vanier entered a contract with the Verneuilhs.

Condition, no hairlines or repairs...

Punch bowl, a mid 19th century copy of the Chinese bowls made for the European market a hundred years earlier. The exterior dark blue and gilt with birds and vases in Famille Rose enamels in reserves, the interior with scattered flowers. Unmarked but most certainly made by Samson of Paris c 1880. Many of Samson’s Chinese Export models derive from a large collection of Chinese porcelain held by French industrialist Ernest Grandidier now to be seen in the Musée Guimet...

A pair of oval dishes with godrooned borders, soft paste / pâte tendre, creamy white with decoration of flowers in underglaze blue. Made c 1780 in Tournai, then France and now Belgium. Ronda was the most popular Tournai pattern, produced all through the 19th century till 1891 when the manufactory closed down. Width "10 ½ / 26.5 cm. Condition: firing crack and two little nicks to underside of rim of one dish (cf. pics).

A sturdy little earthenware salt, French, c 1760-80. Octagonal and decorated with a diaper pattern and cornflowers in a rustic variation of the Louis XVI style. Width "3/ 7.5 cm, height "1 ½ / 3.5 cm. Condition: a small area rough and unglazed, a mishap caused during fabrication (cf. pic 2).

This pair of earthenware vases was produced in France by Paul Milet in the 1890s. They measure 8 3/8 inches high and the diameter of the opening is 2 ½ inches. The decoration is the epitome of Art Nouveau design. Anemones bend and sway while turquoise dragonflies hover overhead. Clover-like turquoise colored leaves encircle the bases of the two vases. The decoration is in relief simulating cloisonné. The colors are dazzling. Condition: Excellent

Superbly enamelled coffee can with a water landscape and fisherman next to a ruined castle. C 1800, probably Belgian (Vieux Bruxelles). Height: 2 ½”/6,5 cm. Saucer, contemporary but not belonging, provided without extra cost (see last photo). Condition: handle professionally mended.

French eggshell thin Porcelain hand painted Lady and Gentleman in Evening Dancing clothes, decorated on pure white Porcelain body Demitasse Cup & Saucer, Ca. 1920, 5 1/8" diameter and 7/8" high-saucer, 2 1/2" high and 3 1/4"wide with handle-cup, delicate twisted handle with little touch of gold, top rim have been touched up and gold rim is somewhat rubbed off in some area.

French Napoleon Portrait Porcelain Cup and saucer, Ca. 1920, 2 3/8" high with handle, 2 7/8" wide with handle-cup, 4 1/4" diameter-saucer, with gold high handle, bottom is signed with Crown with "N" in red.

French T&V Tressemanes & Vogt Limoges Porcelain Serving Bowl and matching underplate, Ca. 1907-1919, 2 1/4" high, 5 3/8" diameter top rim for bowl and 7 1/4" diameter, 3/4" high for under plate, hand painted Blueberry design, entire surface is painted except bottom is white glazed with fluted rim, marked "T&V Limoges, France, Depose" in green on the bottom. The condition is good.

French Sevres Porcelain Plate, Ca. 1804-1809, 8 1/2" diameter, 3/4" high, hand painted with multiple floral design in the center, and molded low relief Bisque finish wide rim border with Angels holding floral banners repeated design, wrapped around with thin gold rim. Marked "M.JMP je de Sevres" in red on the bottom. The condition is good, thin gold rim is somewhat rubbed off in some area.

This set of 10 porcelain bowls and 10 plates was produced in France by Jean Pouyat Limoges in 1914. Only one set is pictured, but the price includes the set of 10 matching bowls and plates. The plates measure 7 1/4 inches and the bowls are 5 inches in diameter and 2 inches high. The naturalistic design is an inspiration of the art nouveau period. A factory transfer of trumpet blossoms and vines spills across the surface of each piece...

We believe this porcelain box was produced in France at the Sevres factory in the late 1700s. It is unmarked. The quality of the painting and the workmanship of the doré bronze rim have led us to this conclusion. The box measures 3 inches long, 2 1/4 inches wide and 1 3/4 inches deep. It is hand painted with panels of colorful exotic birds in fine detail. It is elaborately gilded. The painting is on the top of the box, the sides and the bottom...

French Limoges Porcelain Plate, Feu de four pattern, Ca. 1910, 9 3/4" diameter, raised brilliant gold repeated diamond shape design border inside the raised round dots in the outer gold scalloped edge rim, faded and free style of transfer decoration of the Poppy flowers and branches towards to the center. Underglaze green mark "Haviland France Feu de four" and overglaze red mark "Haviland & Co. Limoges, for A. B. Griswold" on the bottom. The condition of gold is in excellent and no damages.
