A Gorham Sterling Silver Tea Kettle or Hot Water Kettle on a Warming Stand. Dimensions; 7" high, 9.5" to handle, 12.5" on stand. Weight a heavy 48 Troy ounces. In addition to the Gorham mark and the date mark for 1905, it is marked 3.5 pints and A3776. Excellent condition.

Turn-of-the-century Art Nouveau glass vase with engraved silver overlay. Elongated baluster with flared rim and raised foot. Overlay in form of budding and blooming tulips with entwined and whiplash tendrils. On foot is scrolled cartouche engraved with scroll-letter C between the years 1880 and 1905. Glass is green. Silver has faint marks including La Pierre maker's stamp. Very good condition.

This is a 1st Place prize for "Sailing Boats Under 24 Feet, Won By The Petrel, C.H. Simmons." And on the reverse in a cartouche - "G.A.R. 1st Prize, Sept. 5, 1872." A Wonderful Ball, Black & Co. American Silver Footed Center Bowl or Compote. J R Wendt is the Probable Silversmith. It is oval in shape with dimensions of 14" in length x 9" deep x 4.5" high. Weight is a heavy 27.9 Troy ounces. It has the Ball, Black & Co. New York mark (Formed in 1851 by William Black and Henry Ball. Became Black, Starr and Frost in 1874) and in a shield it is marked "950/1000 fine". The mark dates from 1851-1874 and the bowl is circa 1860. Excellent condition.
