A William IV sterling silver vinaigrette made by Thomas Shaw of Birmingham, England 1833. Vinaigrettes were used in the 18th and 19th century as a personal hygiene accessory for the moneyed class and were used to carry pleasant oils and attars or vinegars which were absorbed into cloth pads under the pierced gilded grillwork and sniffed so as to cover up the smells of everyday life (when there were open sewers and waste and garbage were tossed from windows onto the sidewalks and streets below)...

An American Federal Period Coin Silver Creamer or Milk Jug by John McMullin (1765-1843) of Philadelphia. Monogrammed on one side "PJG" with "BB" over it and "MB" under it and the dates 1790 and 1850. On the other side "NRG" and the date 1923. Presumably this was a family piece used over generations. Possibly given originally as a birth present. Dimensions; 6" x 6" x 4" at base; weight 8.2 Troy ounces. Excellent condition.

George III sterling silver wine jug, London, 1809, by George Smith II (cover marked by John Robins), with urn finial, and bent fruitwood handle. Size: 11.5 in. ht. x 6.6 in. x 4.5 in. No monogram. Nice condition (cover with slight gap at spout when closed).

This simple and elegant late Regency period sterling silver master butter knife is in the Fiddle pattern and it is fully hallmarked for London, England 1836. It has a WE maker's mark (most likely Wm. Eley). It measures 8" long, it weighs 55 grams, it has an T McM monogram and it is in excellent original condition with no dents, breaks, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...

English sterling silver berry spoon dating from the reign of George III. The lobed bowl is decorated with repousse apples, berries and foliage; the handle with bright cut engraving, both added later in the 19th century. (We are also offering another berry spoon by a different silversmith and with a slightly different shape, but with identical decoration. Certainly the two spoons were decorated by the same engraver and repousser.) No monograms or removals...

English Georgian Regency sterling silver bowl. Made by Rebecca Emes and Edward Barnard in London, ca 1830. Bellied bowl with chased and stippled leaf and flower bowl. Concave neck and turned-down leaf-and-dart rim. Leaf-capped and -wrapped side handles with oak branch mounts. Short knopped support with egg-and-dart and leaf-and dart borders on lobed and stippled foot with applied leaves. Plain and square base. Opulent Classical centerpiece for flowers or wine. Marks worn...

English George III era Old Sheffield silver plated meat dome cover with robust gadrooned border and removable cast acanthus leaf-form handle. The cover is adorned with a full armorial engraved into a plaque of solid sterling silver which has been let into the cover in order to prevent any underlying copper from showing through the engraved family armorial. Circa 1810-1820. Size: 14 1/2 in. length x 10 1/2 in. depth x 8 1/2 in. ht. Sterling silver fused over copper; tinned interior.

Tapering rectilinear half-fluted handles in mottled grey and brown agate. Sterling silver blades and 4-tined shanks. Regency Classicism for a special dinner party. Fully marked. Excellent condition.

A pair of English sterling silver master salt spoons, fully hallmarked for London, England 1817. They are 4" in length., and have the maker's mark for Wm. Chawner (entered 1815). They weigh 34.5 grams. There is a heraldic crest of an English Ducal coronet with a lion rampant holding a circular object. They are in excellent original condition with no losses, damage or visible repairs.

RARE Georgian hand chased sterling silver creamer with a cartouche on each side. One cartouche is monogrammed "AL" and the other is blank. This exquisite piece is in excellent condition and measures 4.75" high, 5" across including handle and spout. Dates 1820 - 1830.
