This is a Victorian sterling silver ladle made by The Whiting Co., circa 1900, the shaped oval bowl scalloped with a flared rim in a stylized petal pattern, rope twist handle flattened at the top for easy gripping, monogram on back DG, marker's mark, Sterling, 9 and 5, 7 1/4 " L, Excellent condition.

This is a rare Victorian sterling diner’s napkin hook with a patent date of 1879. A real conversation starter! Diner’s napkin hooks have been in existence since the 17th century, but were all the rage during the Victorian era. To keep from spilling food on their finery, gentlemen simply attached their napkin to the clip on one end and then put the small hook over the top of their collars. Condition: excellent. Measurement: 2 _ in. long.

A very pretty early 20th century French silver tastevin in the style typical of Dijon in the Burgundy region of France. This style retains the usual convex base surrounded by a wreath of “perles”, but the gadrooning (“godrons”) along the side have been replaced with a decoration of very finely worked grape leaves and clusters of fruit. The handle, also in typical Burgundian style, represents two snakes with the heads of ducks grasping the forbidden apple between their beaks...

A Matched Set of Four George II Silver Open Salts. The Set was assayed in London in 1747, makers mark illegible. The dimensions are 3" across and 1 1/2" high. They stand on three cabriole legs and weigh a total of 9 Troy ounces. There is a small crest in the front of each. Minor imperfections, but in very good condition overall.

This is an elegant set of 6 Art Nouveau sterling silver strawberry forks, American, ca. 1910, maker unidentified, marked "B" and sterling; beautifully decorated with a single hand chased poppy and fabulous Art Nouveau trailing leaf and stem motif on both front and back; perfect for serving h'ors d'oeuvres, too; condition: excellent; measurement: 4 _ inches.

In the Hanoverian Rat-tail Pattern, with Bottom Struck Marks at the Narrow Part of the Stem (making the marks somewhat indistinct). Dimensions; 7.25" in length and 7.6 Troy ounces in total. Excellent condition.

A Silver (Continental) Quill Dip Pen with a Silver Filagree Feather End and a Filigree Body. There is a mark on the pen that we cannot identify, but appears to be European. Dimensions; pen 8.25" ling, with quill 9". Excellent condition.
