Very fine French engraved sterling chalice. This chalice measures 8 1/4" tall with a 4" diameter top and 5 1/2" diameter base. The mid-section has a deeply engraved petal design with four engraved circular accents. The cup interior is gilded and the base is hollow. Marked with the Minerva head with a 1 (First standard-950 silver). Circa 1915. Very good condition.

Turn-of-the-century French Belle Epoque Classical 950 silver gravy boat on stand. Oval bowl with curved sides and elongated end spouts. Side handles entwined and split-mounted with leaves and flowers. Stepped oval foot mounted to stand with oval well and reeded and serpentine rim. Armorial engraved on stand shoulder. Marks include unidentified maker’s stamp and Minerva head. Very good condition.

We love this pale pink coral carving of a classical maiden with the depiction of a maenad (maenads were female followers of the God Bacchus, Roman mythological god of wine) carved in 14K along the ring's shoulder and on the coral head of the ring. The gold shoulder carvings add to the allure. Coral has the hardness of agate but can be carved to a level of fine detail and precision...

Embossed leafing scrolls and flowers in pell-mell, dynamic arrangement. At top scrolled cartouche engraved with the very turn-of-the-century name “Gertie”. Velvet mount with hinged easel support. Pair of German silver birds, ca 1920. A rooster and hen with downturned wings and flamboyant flouncy tails. The rooster has a shaggy crown and raised talon and looks down while the hen, who has a small trim crown and scaly wattles, looks up. Cawing beaks suggest a barnyard tiff. Marked. Very good condition Gilt wash traces.

Antique 18th century 1775 ,German Hanau blue and white Armorial Jug (Enghalskrug) with a plaited handle, a horizontally ribbed neck with a baluster body with an elaborate Coat-of-Arms incorporating three armorial oval shields surmounted by a winged head of an angle wearing a Bishop's Mitre flanked with the Initials: “FF” “EA”, where the Coat-of-Arms is surrounded by tied palmettes with the date 1775 beneath.
