Porzellanfabrik Victoria Schmidt Rare Vase c1890 Shylock and Portia Court Scene Not a commonly seen piece, this vase is in very good condition, free from chips or other blemishes and constructed of eggshell thin porcelain. It measures 10" in height. Though unsigned it was made by Porzellanfabrik Victoria Schmidt & Co in Czechoslovakia and another vase in this similar series is held in the collection Holocaust Museum in New York.

Alt Wien / Old Vienna dish or plate – originally a stand for a vase or small tureen – with sparse decoration of stylized little tulips within a dark red border. The modern-looking design is a deceiver: the shape of the Royal Vienna Porcelain factory underglaze blue shield mark on the base shows a production date in the Empire period around 1800. Diameter "9 ½ / 24 cm. Condition: two small spots of glaze wear to the center, from the foot rim of vase or tureen.

A feather or shell edge plate beautifully enameled with scattered flowers in typical Rococo style. Late 18th century, made at the Royal Vienna Porcelain factory. Underglaze blue shield mark and painters mark in puce plus an impressed N, probably for Joseph Niedermeyer who was chief modeller 1747-1784. Diameter "9 ¾ / 24.5 cm. Condition: fine.

Small vase, an early piece from the Reissner & Kessel manufactory in Turn-Teplitz in present Czechia. The exterior unglazed with carved and enameled decoration of scrollwork and flowers, the interior white-glazed. Impressed crown mark for 1892 – 1910 to the base, Amphora, Austria, model numbers and more. Near the base the exterior has got another mark, partly illegible and possibly the name of the designer (T Goto (?) cf. pics). Height "5 ½ / 14 cm. Condition: fine.

Antique 18th century, circa 1750 AD, Hungarian Anabaptist faience jug from Stupava (German: Stampfen; Hungarian: Stomfa), a town in western Slovakia.

The jug is of a baluster shape with a flared rim and shaped spout, raised on a small foot, and an applied handle. It is raised on a small foot and painted using the grand feu enameling technique in blue, ochre, and turquoise floral patterns...

A rare flesh pink glazed earthenware Art Nouveau style vase painted with Narcissus flowers in green, white and yellow enamels. This item was made, circa 1895, by the Riessner Stellmacher and Kessler "Amphora" factory in the Bohemian village of Trnovany. Ernst Wahliss Bisque Jardiniere or Planter, Bearing the Mark "Royal Vienna" with a Crown and "Wahliss". Dimensions; 9" wide x 5" deep x 12" high, with a 7.5" x 3.5" planter space in the rear. Circa 1900 and in excellent condition.

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Hungary by the Herend Factory between 1855 and 1875. The saucer has a diameter of 4 3/8 inches and the cup is 2 1/4 inches high. The porcelain is delicate and translucent. The cup features a pedestal base and fancy scrolled handle. It is decorated in an intricate Asian style. The details are minute and you can just imagine the amount of time it took to paint. The flowers are colored with soft, muted hues...

18th century Central European, ceramic dish painted under the glaze with raised floral motif. On the back of the plate is deep orange color under rich glaze.

Porcelain sardine box with a handle in the form of a realistically-painted sardine. The sides and lid of the box are decorated with pink roses. The bottom is marked "Victoria Austria."

Origin: Altrohlau, Bohemia, Austria (now Stara Role, Czech Republic), ca. 1891-1918. Condition: excellent, slight wear to gilding along edges of the lid. Size: 5-1/4" x 4-1/2" x 3".

An Early Nineteenth Century Hungarian Faience Jug, Possibly used for Wine. Pictures a Shepherd with a Dog and a Ram and Sheep. The Inscription "GAMBRIS ISTVAN 1810" is on either side of the shepherd's Head. Height; 12", weight 2.25 lbs. Minor glaze losses.

Words can hardly describe this spectacular Art Pottery centerbowl, made by Amphora Work Riessner, Turn-Teplitz, Bohemia, with the 1918-1939 Riessner company mark ); also marked 20122, 43, and C. The large ivory basketweave bowl with delicate applied flowers is supported by beautifully modeled figures of a boy and girl in pastel drape. Condition: Restored; very minor _ in. hairline crack in boy’s hair, firing crack on base. Measurement: 14 _ in. diam x 11 _ in. high.
