A beautiful early Murano glass vase with three spouts and three handles, made probably by Vittorio Zecchin for Venini, around 1920. There is a slight iridescence to the glass and the glass fluoresces a gentle-green under black-light, indicative of early 20th century soda-lime glass. Unsigned. Polished pontil. The vase is 8 inches (20 cm) tall and 4 1/4 inches (11 cm) wide. In good condition (there is a piece of sand stuck in the glass - see last picture).
Venetian-Muranese "Opal," opaline glass, cylinder vase, in opaque pink, with gold-plated rim and exquisite hand-enameled butterflies (2 large & 2 small). It measures 3.25" (8.25 cm) tall, 2.375" (6.03 cm) diameter. Original paper label on base reads, "Made in Italy." Excellent condition with only some oxidation to metal and minor wear to the gold-plating. c. 1890-1920. $14 US Shipping.
