A funny depiction of feline ill grace. A bit of a sour puss, but endearing nonetheless. Mother of pearl handle. Fully marked. Good condition.

Chrysanthemum gilt sterling silver box. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Traditional lobed and ovoid bowl with short and inset neck and splayed volute scroll supports. Cover hinged and domed with bud finial and plain and scrolled overhanging rim. Foot rim and supports applied with alternating flower head and leaf pattern. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern no. 11133, and director’s letter T (1892-1902). Very good condition with nice toning.

Ornate sterling silver meat serving fork, the handle decorated with shells, scrolls, roses and beads, and the matte-gilded tines decorated with bright cut engraving. The reverse is marked "925Sterlin1000", a marking frequently seen on American sterling silver before silversmith's were required to identify their work.

Origin: America, circa 1895. Condition: excellent, period monogram "G". Size: 7-3/4" long.

Curved and overhanging mouth with lip spout and cylindrical bowl; round and stepped foot and c-scroll handle. Acid-etched ornament: Meandering ivy on mouth and handle and half-fluting on bowl. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern no. 16867B (first produced in 1907), director’s letter m, and volume (5 1/2 pts). Very good condition.

This large 14-1/4" skewer measures 1-1/8" across the beaded-edge loop; it has a Gothic B monogram and the pseudo hallmarks for an English silver plate company. Fresh and pretty turn-of-the-century Austrian Art Nouveau 800 silver casket. Rectangular with curved sides. Cover hinged and raised with scroll tab. Chased and engraved wrapround ornament with entwined and whiplash tendrils and flower heads. Rococo scrolled corner supports. Gilt-washed interior. Marks include maker’s stamp HS. Century sterling silver fish serving pair. Made by Dominick & Haff in New York, ca 1900. Each: Threaded and tapering stem with scroll and shell terminal. The slice has a scroll shaped blade. The fork has shaped shank and four scrolled tines. Edwardian Classicism for the new century. Fully marked including maker’s and retailer’s (Hansel, Sloan & Co.) stamps, and patent year (1900). Very good condition.

A very good sterling silver wine bottle or decanter coaster by Gorham. The flared lip is heavily decorated with a floral scrolled border in the Rococo style. The repousse decoration is finely done. The bottom of the coaster is fully hallmarked with one of the older Gorham hallmarks, the design copyright date 1889, the pattern number 325 and the date symbol for 1891.

Origin: America, 1891. Condition: excellent, one pinpoint ding visible on very close inspection, no monogram...
