A Georgian sterling silver large footed master salt dish dated 1817. This simply splendid high quality English Georgian silver open salt dish is fully hallmarked for London 1817. This 3-5/8" diameter and 1-7/8" high bowl has fine high relief and rather unusual rim decoration of a lion head alternating with a shell, surrounded by flowers, with ornate floral feet. It retains the original gilding on the bowl as well. It is stamped with the maker's mark for William Elliot or William Eaton of London...

An American Federal Period Coin Silver Creamer or Milk Jug by John McMullin (1765-1843) of Philadelphia. Monogrammed on one side "PJG" with "BB" over it and "MB" under it and the dates 1790 and 1850. On the other side "NRG" and the date 1923. Presumably this was a family piece used over generations. Possibly given originally as a birth present. Dimensions; 6" x 6" x 4" at base; weight 8.2 Troy ounces. Excellent condition.

The cover is adorned with a full armorial engraved into a plaque of solid sterling silver which has been let into the cover in order to prevent any underlying copper from showing through the engraved family armorial.
