This magnificent Victorian sterling silver cigarette case contains a medallion at the front with a crest above a banner that reads "Foy Pour Devoir (Faithful to Duty)"...

Outstanding sterling silver master salt spoon in a rococo pattern by Gorham. I have not been able to put a name to this assymetrical pattern, although it is very similar to "Marie Antoinette" and "Dresden". The bowl is parcel gilt. The reverse is marked with Gorham's old hallmark.

Origin: America, circa 1885. Condition: excellent, gilding intact, crisp details, period mongram "Y". Size: 3-5/8" long.

Silver and brass very large Catholic votive item with decorative silver heart, three cherubs, and a flame. And, in applied brass(or other gold metal) there is a cross atop a crown with the initials "RCR". Quite large, it measures 7 1/2" long by 5 1/4" wide. Gorgeous museum-quality Japonesque sterling silver trophy bowl. Made by Gorham in Providence in 1884. Large and round with allover ornament in relief. Horned serpents swim slack-jawed through the water. Talons and heads “puncture” the surface to form side handles. Astride one sits an artist, brush in hand recording the thrashing undulations and roiling waves. At mouth rim are applied strewn shells...

This is an ANTIQUE GORHAM STERLING LADLE in the LUXEMBOURG PATTERN. Ca. 1893 with scroll patterns throughout with Scalloped bowl and scroll edge. 12.5" in length. Desirable Pattern in Excellent Condition.

Coin silver sugar spoon by J.A. Horne, Dover, NH with fluted shell bowl, c.1850, bright-cut decoration to handle with engraved initial 'W' in a cartouche. Size: 6.25" length. Excellent condition.

Lovely Victorian bonbon spoon by Gorham in the 1894 “Imperial Chrysanthemum” pattern. The ornate handle is decorated with chrysanthemum blossoms, while the gilt bowl is pierced with a pattern suggesting chrysanthemum foliage. The back of the handle is as ornate at the front. The back is marked with old Gorham hallmark.

Origin: America, ca. 1900. Condition: excellent, all original including gilding, no monogram. Size: 4-3/4” long. Weight: 20.5 grams.

Sterling silver sugar spoon in Whiting's 1891 "Louis XV" pattern. The spade-shaped bowl is slightly scalloped at the neck for decorative appeal. The back is stamped with Whiting's hallmark, the patent date (indicating an older piece) and the retailer's mark "A. Stowell & Co." (Baltimore).

Origin: American, circa 1890s. Condition: excellent, very light wear, no monogram. Size: 6" long.

Nathaniel Mills Castle Top sterling silver card case with high relief view of Trinity Church, Wall Street, New York City. Birmingham mint marks, with date letter for 1848-1849. A 'castle top' silver card case by the famous silversmith Nathaniel Mills, depicting a rare view of an American scene, Trinity Church, Wall St., in New York City. Mills was known for his 'high-relief' portrayals of churches, abbeys, and castles, which he applied to vinaigrettes, snuff boxes and card cases...

Georg Roth & Co. hallmarked German sterling silver dish. Small four-footed dish with motifs of cherubs, scrolls, and leaves. Marked underneath "Sterling" and "Germany". Also marked with an "A" under a crown, a Hanau pseudo-mark linked to Georg Roth & Co. MEASUREMENTS: 4-1/2" x 3-1/4" x 2-1/2" high. Approximately 4.87 troy ounces total. CONDITION: Light surface wear.

Deeply chased scroll work...

A wonderful set of six Victorian silverplate napkin rings. The outsides are decorated with two cherubs grasping baroque reserves framed with swirls of acanthus leaves, pendant bellflowers and other ornate decorative devices. The insides are brightly gilt. It is very unusual to find a complete matching set of Victorian napkin rings.

Origin: probably American, circa 1890. Condition: all original, no monograms, normal wear the the plating on the insides and outsides...

This tureen holds 4 quarts of liquid. It was made by the Meridan Britannia Company in 1886-1887.

All of the plating is still original. There is however, a few spots where, as shown in my picture, there is some loss of silver. A magnificent addition to any silver collection. The collar is 7/8" in diameter and is wonderfully chased.
