This is an American ornate sterling silver baby food pusher made by Whiting Manufacturing Company in the Imperial Queen Pattern, circa 1893; the base of the front handle marked with the maker's mark, STERLING and Pat. 1893. the backside of the pusher monogrammed in Italics C.B.K. Jr; Measurements-handle 3.75 inches long, the blade measures 1,75 inches across. Condition- Excellent

A Large Sterling Silver Gorham "King George " (1894) Roast Carving Set. The Fork is 11", the Knife is 14.5" and the Sharpener is 13.75". The pin on the holding mechanism on the fork is slightly loose, but overall in very good condition.

A Rare Early American Coin Silver Footed Dish (probably for Candy) Made by Albert Coles, Prominent NY City Silversmith who worked from 1836-1880 (died in 1886). Dimensions; 5" wide (9.25" to handles) x 2.5" high; weight 5.5 Troy ounces. Gold washed interior. Circa 1840's. Excellent condition.

A beautiful sterling silver berry or casserole spoon in Whiting's desirable 1896 "Dresden" pattern. The handle is decorated on both sides with sprays of roses. The matte gilt bowl is scalloped and decorated with repousse beading and volutes. The spoon is stamped with Whiting's hallmark and has the patent date indicating an early date of manufacture.

Origin: America, ca. 1900. Condition: excellent, original gilding intact, sharp detail, no monogram. Size: 8-3/4" long. Weight: 87.0 grams.

Elaborately handled server by Reed & Barton in the "Love Disarmed" pattern. It has the old hallmarks dating back to 1899. This piece is in excellent condition, the figure on the handle and all of the repousse work are very crisp. Originally an asparagus server, it can be used for so many things. It has lovely piercings on the flat portion, and it shows no wear. It measures approximately 11.25" long and 3.75" at its widest. It weighs 255 grams. It is not monogrammed.

A Pair of Silver Open Salts with a clear glass liner; from Germany (Augsburg?), dating from the late 19th century. An open work design features a mythological figure of a bird/animal. The dimensions are 3.5" x 1.5" x 2.5" high. There is one original spoon with the set.

A finely detailed ornate mesh purse with handle. Made of 800 silver with a floral design around the clasp. The interior contains a unique mesh coin purse. One of the enlarged photos shows a small area under the clasp missing a hoop which we can easily repair if so desired. We can also polish the purse free of charge.

A classic 19th century French silver tastevin of traditional form and the bottom inset with a silver coin from the reign of Louis XV. The sides of the tastevin are decorated with the traditional raised "perles" and recessed "cupules" for viewing the depth of color in a wine. The coin, dating to 1726, depicts the profile of the king surrounded by the legend "Louis XV, by grace of God, king of France and Navarre." The reverse of the coin can be seen from the bottom of the tastevin...

An Importand and Historic Coin Silver Mug (Christening or Childs Mug) by noted Boston Silversmith Obadiah Rich (1809-1888, active 1830-1850). Marked pieces by Rich are Rare as much of his Output went to Leading Boston Retailers. The Mug is inscribed "Dec. 25, 1848 Emily P. Call from Abel Cushing Jr.". Cushing (1785-1866) was a Massachusetts lawyer and the author of "Historical letters on the first charter of Massachusetts government", published 1839...

Ornate sterling silver meat serving fork, the handle decorated with shells, scrolls, roses and beads, and the matte-gilded tines decorated with bright cut engraving. The reverse is marked "925Sterlin1000", a marking frequently seen on American sterling silver before silversmith's were required to identify their work.

This handled American coin silver cup was made by William K. Vanderslice in San Francisco, CA, circa 1870, consisting of a simple tapered cylindrical form with rope banding around rim and base. Vanderslice was an early California silversmith, working in the mid 19th century. He became widely acclaimed for his fine silverwork. This is a rare Victorian sterling diner’s napkin hook with a patent date of 1879. A real conversation starter! Diner’s napkin hooks have been in existence since the 17th century, but were all the rage during the Victorian era. To keep from spilling food on their finery, gentlemen simply attached their napkin to the clip on one end and then put the small hook over the top of their collars. Condition: excellent. Measurement: 2 _ in. long.

A lovely first standard (950/1000) silver tastevin, the bottom inset with a 1658 silver coin depicting the youthful image of Louis XIV surrounded by text translated as "Louis XIV, by grace of God, King of France and Navarre." The sides of the tastevin a decorated with clusters of grapes and elegantly curved godrons in the style typical of Orfevre Parrod. Coin inserts, however, are unusual in Parrod tastevins. Extremely elegant Louis XV-style French silver master salt dip with cobalt glass liners. The shapes of the containers remind me of Louis XV bombe commodes. The repousse design is very architectural in nature, and makes use of numerous decorative elements such as fluted columns, ribbons, cartouches, and pendant bellflowers. Surprisingly, none of the four cartouches has ever been monogrammed. Although intended for salt only, this piece could be used today to serve both salt and pepper...
