Very fine ornate sterling silver server for either fish or ice cream. The handle is covered with a pattern of hibiscus flowers and swirling foliage. The floral element is echoed in the beautifully engraved floral pattern on the blade. The blade is finished off with a very ornate outline. Many American silversmiths did not mark their names until the early 20th century, and the back is marked only "Sterling."

Origin: America, ca. 1885. Condition: excellent, very sharp details, no monogram...

A mighty fine larger serving spoon, dated 1856, Moscow marks, .84 and weighing 78 grams.

Size: 18,6 cm. long.

Patented 1878 and marked with a T dating it from 1891-1902, this server by Tiffany & Co. is done in the "Olympian" pattern. The scene depicted on the handle is "Venus born of the sea." The bottom portion is gilded on both the front and back. The intricate work continues to the face on the back of the handle and it is monogrammed at the top (please see picture # 8). It measures approximately 11.25" long and 3" at its widest. It is in excellent condition, and the overall weight is 205.3 grams.

Early red glass silver overlay perfume. Made by Gorham in Providence, ca 1886. Globular with short neck and flat everted rim. Ball stopper. Dense and engraved overlay with scrolls and flowers. A concentrated design with small reveals of the glass. Scrolled cartouche engraved with scrolled monogram. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, patent year 1886, and no. S684. Very good condition.

Six small sterling beakers with gilt interiors by Edward H. Stockwell of London. All are marked appropriately. Only the bottoms which show very light wear and very faint spotting have been polished. They measures 1-3/4" x 1-1/4" at the widest point.Total weight is 1.8ozs.

A quality late 19thC 750 silver jug with baronial crests by J Wagner and Sohn ( Son ) Germany. This is an ANTIQUE STERLING DRESDEN BERRY SPOON or SERVING SPOON by WHITING, Division of GORHAM. This late Victorian Spoon has a Beautiful FLORAL DESIGN on the Handle both front and back. The Bowl has an "Embossed" beaded design. Length is 7 1/2"; bowl measures 2 5/8" X 3". Date this Serving Spoon 1896 and clearly marked 1896(see jpgs). An uncommon silver tastevin, the bottom inset with a Mexican silver coin featuring the likeness of King Ferdinand VII of Spain, the last Spanish emperor to rule over Mexico. The coin is dated 1821, the year Mexico became independent of Spain. Victorian Classical sterling silver goblet. Made by Elkington & Co. Ltd in Birmingham in 1859. Ovoid bowl on knopped cylindrical stem flowing into raised foot. Bowl has engraved vertical scrolled frames inset with leafing scrolls surmounted by scallop shells, except one, which is vacant in place of the shell. Foot has leaf and flower garland on stippled ground. Beading. Gilt interior. Fully marked. Very good condition.

Victorian Classical sterling silver paper knife. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1885. Serpentine and integral with hollow handle tapering into flat blade. Handle has allover floral repousse with feathered leaf border at bottom. Blade recto has acid-etched monogram with elongated, interlaced, and whiplash letters. Very nice sterling silver sugar spoon with a plique-a-jour enamel handle decorated in three shades of translucent enamel. The matte gilt bowl has a rounded spade shape. The twist handle opens into a stained-glass like terminal. Plique-a-jour enameling was usually reserved for more delicate pieces like demitasse spoons, so a sugar spoon is rather uncommon. Unmarked, but probably European.

Ca. 1880. Condition: excellent, no enamel damage, original gilding. Size: 5-9/16” long.
