A very pretty early 20th century French silver tastevin in the style typical of Dijon in the Burgundy region of France. This style retains the usual convex base surrounded by a wreath of “perles”, but the gadrooning (“godrons”) along the side have been replaced with a decoration of very finely worked grape leaves and clusters of fruit. The handle, also in typical Burgundian style, represents two snakes with the heads of ducks grasping the forbidden apple between their beaks...

European Biedermeier silver keepsake casket, ca 1840. Lobed and bombe with hinged and raised cover. Cover top flat and vacant. Chased and engraved clusters of leafing scrolls and flowers. A Van Kempen Dutch sterling silver pierced serving spoon. This fine hand made and engraved Dutch sterling silver 6-1/8" pierced bowl nut or sugar sifter spoon is dated 1889. Made by Van Kempen & Sons (1858-1920) of Voorschoten Holland (The Netherlands), this serving spoon weighs 22.0 grams, and it is in excellent condition with no monograms, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...

Sterling silver berry spoon in Whiting's 1891 "Louis XV" pattern. This is the smaller-sized berry spoon, and is appropriate for serving a wide range of side dishes or, of course, berries. The back is marked with Whiting's hallmark and the patent date, indicating that this is an older piece.

A Magnificent 15 Piece Dessert or Ice Cream Set in the Mazarin pattern by Dominick & Haff for Theodore B. Starr. The set consists of 12 Spoons (5.75"), an Ice Cream Knife (12.5"), a Berry Spoon (9"), and a Sugar Sifter (7"). All pieces are gold washed at the service end. The pattern was introduced in 1892 and this set is believed to date from shortly afterward. The total weight is 18.7 Troy ounces. Excellent condition.

Edwardian sterling silver picture frame. Retailed by JE Caldwell in Philadelphia. Rectangular with alternating vertical plain and pinstripes. At top horizontal frame between engraved garlands. With glass, silk lining, and velvet back and hinged support. Marks include maker’s (Lebkeucher) and retailer’s stamps and no. 2707JJB. Good condition. Top rail has minor lifting. Velvet wear and discoloration.

Circa 1850, this lovely sterling silver serving spoon has a gilded and perforated bowl, and a long handle with a three dimensional calla lily detail at the end. The leaves stretch across the top of the bowl also. It was most likely made by Whiting. The bowl measures approximately 3" in diameter and the handle is 7" long. It is in very good condition, with most of the gilding still in tact. It is marked "STERL" on the back.

A wonderful set of six Victorian silverplate napkin rings. The outsides are decorated with two cherubs grasping baroque reserves framed with swirls of acanthus leaves, pendant bellflowers and other ornate decorative devices. The insides are brightly gilt. It is very unusual to find a complete matching set of Victorian napkin rings.

Origin: probably American, circa 1890. Condition: all original, no monograms, normal wear the the plating on the insides and outsides...

Rare Bird's Nest sterling silver baby cup. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1870. Ovoid bowl on stepped foot. Scroll handle with squiggle tail. Bowl has shaped pointille ornament and wire scrollwork applied with cast fluttering and flapping birds. Beading. Oval frame engraved with 3-letter monogram. Fully marked including Tiffany and Moore stamps, and pattern no. 1063. Very good condition.

Antique Indian Hand Crafted Repousse Sterling Silver Tablet. Description: Wonderful hand made Sterling silver presentation tablet, finely executed repousse work depicting different animal in charging or hunting position in high relief. It bears initial M and October 15 1902 date. workmanship is absolutely fine. Dimensions: 8 5/8" in length and 4.5" wide. This item is in excellent condition.

At mouth rim raised band with Neoclassical ornament, including paterae and amphorae, entwined with flowers and scrolls between beaded and Vitruvian scroll borders. At foot border alternating volute scrolls and W’s. Seven goblets have gilt-washed interior. An elegant tribute to the historic English pottery firm...

European silver sauce boat, ca 1900. Ovoid with fluted v-spout and scrolled monopodia side handles with lion heads. Molded curvilinear rim. Stepped oval foot. A nice revival piece in the 18th-century style. Mark and pseudo-marks. Very good condition.
