Elegant pair of large sterling silver salad servers in Frank Whiting’s 1893 “Tyrolean” pattern. This is one of the simpler Victorian designs and works nicely with a wide variety of other patterns. The pieces are quite heavy. The backs are marked with Whiting’s second hallmark.

Ball cover in form of male head with big ears, receding hairline, tronie-style grimace, and red bead eyes. Fully marked including London assay stamp and unidentified maker’s initials “T.S” in oval. Silver and brass very large Catholic votive item with decorative silver heart, three cherubs, and a flame. And, in applied brass(or other gold metal) there is a cross atop a crown with the initials "RCR". Quite large, it measures 7 1/2" long by 5 1/4" wide. Bracket end handles and four splayed volute supports. Cover double domed with bracket finial. Dense and textural cast ornament in form of alternating flower heads and leaves applied to rim and cover shoulder. With dense profusion of same applied to feet and wrapped and mounted to handles...

This is 4 STERLING GORHAM NAPKIN RINGS from a Virginia, USA Estate. Distinctive Border decorations and chase work typically late VICTORIAN to early 20th Century. Size each is 1 1/2" X 1 15/16". Rare 19th C Hamilton & Dresinger, Philadelphia, PA, American brilliant cut glass jar with hinged sterling sliver hand chased repousse lid. Beautifully monogrammed, this may have been used as a dresser box. Lid weight is substantial and seals securely when closed. In excellent condition, it measures $ inches high, 2.5" diameter.

An Unusual George II Silver Tripod Base Chamberstick by John Cafe and Hallmarked in London, 1755. Dimensions; 3.5" high x 6.75" diameter; weight, 10.5 Troy ounces. Excellent condition. Note that the hallmarks are rubbed, but can be made out.

Sterling silver sugar spoon in Whiting's 1891 "Louis XV" pattern. The spade-shaped bowl is slightly scalloped at the neck for decorative appeal. The back is stamped with Whiting's hallmark, the patent date (indicating an older piece) and the retailer's mark "A. Stowell & Co." (Baltimore).

Origin: American, circa 1890s. Condition: excellent, very light wear, no monogram. Size: 6" long.

Georg Roth & Co. hallmarked German sterling silver dish. Small four-footed dish with motifs of cherubs, scrolls, and leaves. Marked underneath "Sterling" and "Germany". Also marked with an "A" under a crown, a Hanau pseudo-mark linked to Georg Roth & Co. MEASUREMENTS: 4-1/2" x 3-1/4" x 2-1/2" high. Approximately 4.87 troy ounces total. CONDITION: Light surface wear.

A wonderful set of six Victorian silverplate napkin rings. The outsides are decorated with two cherubs grasping baroque reserves framed with swirls of acanthus leaves, pendant bellflowers and other ornate decorative devices. The insides are brightly gilt. It is very unusual to find a complete matching set of Victorian napkin rings.

Origin: probably American, circa 1890. Condition: all original, no monograms, normal wear the the plating on the insides and outsides...
