This is a magnificent coin silver fish serving set, ca. 1865, unmarked, in the Aesthestic taste with boldly cast and applied medallions and highly decorative bright-cut engraving. While unmarked, this set bears a striking resemblance to a medallion pattern made by John Polhamus and retailed by Tiffany during the same period. A very pretty early 20th century French silver tastevin in the style typical of Dijon in the Burgundy region of France. This style retains the usual convex base surrounded by a wreath of “perles”, but the gadrooning (“godrons”) along the side have been replaced with a decoration of very finely worked grape leaves and clusters of fruit. The handle, also in typical Burgundian style, represents two snakes with the heads of ducks grasping the forbidden apple between their beaks...

A Matched Set of Four George II Silver Open Salts. The Set was assayed in London in 1747, makers mark illegible. The dimensions are 3" across and 1 1/2" high. They stand on three cabriole legs and weigh a total of 9 Troy ounces. There is a small crest in the front of each. Minor imperfections, but in very good condition overall.

A delightful early 19th century French silver tastevin featuring a 1770 Louis XV coin and a wonderfully decorated handle. The handle decoration depicts a man seated atop a wine barrel grasping a wine bottle in one hand and a Cupid's arrow in the other. WT: 4.91 oz Size: 3 1/2"x 2 5/8"; Age appropriate wear, several small pin dots.

This is a fine American sterling silver napkin ring with three rows of engine turned banding and a center cartouche, made at the turn-of-the-century, monogrammed HLW, unmarked; Wt. 9.8 grams. Condition is excellent having four raised points on one rim; May need cleaning. Measurement: 1 1/2 in. diam. x 1 in. high.

A fine first-standard (950/1000 pure) silver tastevin, the bottom inset with a silver 5-franc coin from the reign of Louis Philippe. The coin has good detail, the front showing a bust of the king in profile, while the bottom shows a laurel wreath enclosing the words “5 Francs/1846”. The coin is surrounded by repousse decoration of angled godrons, small convex perles and larger concave cupules...
