A Domed Oval Hinged Lid and a Wooden Finial and Scroll Handle. Dimensions; 6" High x 4" wide x 10" handle to spout. Weight 11.8 Troy ounces. Excellent condition.

A fine early 19th century silver tastevin in the 17th century Burgundian style, inset with a Louis XIV silver ecu coin. The coin is surrounded by a “couronne” of 27 perles from which extend elongated “godrons”. These elongated grooves, without any corresponding circular grooves typically meant the tastevin was intended for use only with white wines. The godrons are further enhanced with small bunches of grapes...

A Large Sterling Silver Gorham "King George " (1894) Roast Carving Set. The Fork is 11", the Knife is 14.5" and the Sharpener is 13.75". The pin on the holding mechanism on the fork is slightly loose, but overall in very good condition.

A vintage late Victorian period American sterling silver salver or tray c1880-1900. This 7-3/4" x 6-3/4" tray has a high relief edge and a central fancy monogram. It is stamped with the Howard Sterling Co. mark (Providence, Rhode Island 1878-1902) and the BARTENS & RICE retailer's mark (1875-1909)...

An Importand and Historic Coin Silver Mug (Christening or Childs Mug) by noted Boston Silversmith Obadiah Rich (1809-1888, active 1830-1850). Marked pieces by Rich are Rare as much of his Output went to Leading Boston Retailers. The Mug is inscribed "Dec. 25, 1848 Emily P. Call from Abel Cushing Jr.". Cushing (1785-1866) was a Massachusetts lawyer and the author of "Historical letters on the first charter of Massachusetts government", published 1839...

A fine mid-19th century French silver tastevin (wine taster), the base inset with an 1810 Italian silver coin from the reign of Emperor Napoleon I as King of Italy. The bottom edge of the bowl is decorated with curved, scalloped "godrons" which were intended to reflect light through white wine to judge clarity. This tastevin does not have the "cupules" ("ovoides") specifically intended to deepen the color of red wines. The sides are decorated with grapevines and clusters of fruit...

One of the most beautiful ladles we have ever seen! This exquisite Durgin ladle in the Iris pattern is Art Nouveau at it's best. Introduced in 1900 to rave review, this large, heavy and gracious serving piece will be everyone's favorite! 10 3/4" x 4"

A Well Known, Notable and Rare Gorham Sterling Silver Large Fish Set with Ivory Handles. Elaborately Pierced and with Silver Gilt on the Pierced Pattern and with Carved Ivory Handles. Dimensions of knife, 11.5" x 3", fork, 10" x 3". Pattern introduced in 1892 and made for a brief time. Excellent condition.
