Late Victorian sterling silver olive spoons/spears such as this are the perfect accompaniment for a sophisticated bar set-up. They can be used for olives, of course, but also for cocktail onions or cherries. They can also be used as a stir in a cocktail pitcher or shaker. The spoon retains its original semi-matte gilding. The stem is marked “925/1000 Sterling.”

A good example of the remarkable talent behind the wonderful Austrian Bronze handmade, hand painted bronze miniature figurines. Austrian bronzes are individually cast from sand molds used only once, then sculpted and cold painted by hand with several coats of paint. This rare painted butterfly is approximately 1 inch long and 1 1/4 inches wide. A perfect collection for the entomologist or botany professor in your life...

Large pewter claret jug. Highly ornate Art Nouveau pewter raised with blue-tinted reservoir glass, showing frieze. A vine and leaf decoration with figures overlay the jug. Possibly made in Germany. Late 19th. Century.

An Impressively Grand English Victorian Brass Inkstand or Standish with Double Inkwells. It is 21.25" wide x 9" deep x 7" high and weighs 3 pounds 8 ounces. It dates from the latter part of the 19th century and is in excellent condition, except for a repair one of the legs (only visible from the bottom, see picture).

A Substantial Coin Silver Ewer or Pitcher for either Wine or Water. Made by Henry Burrill Stanwood (1818-1869) of Boston, a predecessor of the Firm of Schreve, Crump and Low. Marked "Henry B. Stanwood", Boston, Pure Silver Coin. Repousse floral design. Dimensions; 12" high to handle x 6" in diameter (5" at base); 20 Troy ounces. Circa 1840. Excellent condition.

This is an outstanding American sterling silver repousse napkin ring in the style of Kirk although the mark is too worn to distinguish, ca 1880, heavily repousse with centered monogram GLJ, Wt. 18.9g; Condition is excellent; Measurement: 1 5/8 in. diam. x 1 in. high.

South American dish, ca 1920. Lozenge-form with flared rim and 3 splayed supports comprising Brazilian 1000 Reis coins minted in the first two decades of the twentieth century. A great way to give “currency” to your décor. Very good condition with deep patina.

A lovely and very rare matching set of massive dishes, made with the Habsburg Coat Of Arms and portraits of Albert (Albrecht VII), Archduke of Austria, 13 November 1559 – 13 July 1621 and Isabella Clara Eugenia, sovereign of the Habsburg Netherlands between 1598 and 1621.

This exceptional set of portrait dishes are probably made somewhat later in the 17th. century as memorial wal hangers. Inscribed with their titles and on the back marked with pewter touchmarks of the crowned Rose...

A lovely set of six sterling silver and plique-a-jour enamel cocktail picks by acclaimed Norwegian silversmith and enamelist Johan G. Kjaerland. Kjaerland worked in Bergen, Norway, and was particuarly well-known for his excellent plique-a-jour enamels. This is the first set of cocktail picks we've seen in plique-a-jour. A lovely European bronze Sun dial, carved in a fine renaissance style and dated 1635, but Victorian, English manifacture of the late 19th. century.

The sun dial very elaborate with engraved birds on either side of a Griffin center shade, with a brass spike, othervise in bronze. Inscribed with Roman numbers and dated 1635. Finely patinated in red and dark bronze and in perfect condition.

Japonesque mixed metal napkin ring. Made by Gorham in Providence in 1882. Hand-hammered sterling silver ring applied with cooper ornament: A man in pointy hat is seated on the ground, smoking while a small dog approaches from behind, interrupting the opium-induced serenity. Above is a darting butterfly. Engraved name “Edward Hegeler”. Hegeler (1835-1910) was a German-born American industrialist and publisher. A Fine Arts & Crafts Copper Silent Butler from the workshops of Dirk Van Erp in San Francisco. Applied decorative initials "E G W". Measures about 7 1/4" across, about 10 1/2" to end of handle and weighs over 1 1/2 pounds. Very good condition, with some verdigris near the loop handle. Signed on bottom as shown. Nice example.

English Georgian Classical sterling silver ewer, 18th century. Girdled ovoid bowl and scrolled helmet mouth with beaded and flowering strapwork rim; cast double-scroll handle with Venus, her torso undraped offering grapes to recumbent Cupid.
