A superb antique Danish mortar in beautiful early brass alloy, dating to the reign of Christian VII (1766-1806), this mortar dates early in his reign, c. 1770-1790.

A very fine pair of cast and engraved Louis XVI style bronze dore candlesticks. The round bases are decorated with beading and an ornate wreath of acanthus leaves. The pillars are fluted and broaden slightly before reaching the upper knop, also with acanthus leaf decoration. The sockets are likewise decorated. The original gilding is largely in place.

Origin: France, ca. 1890. Condition: excellent, no cracks. Size: 9-1/2" tall.

A sterling silver soup ladle by the noted New York silversmith, John Polhamus, in the King's pattern (double struck). Circa 1860s. Length: 12.5 in. Engraved H.S. in a Gothic script on handle. Struck with J. Polhamus mark and 'sterling'. Nice original condition.

George III sterling silver salver. Made by Ebenezer Coker in London in 1765. Round with molded scrolled rim interspersed with alternating large and small shells. Armorial with lion rampant in lozenge frame with leafing and flowering branch surround. Three hoof supports. Fully marked. Very good condition.

Chrysanthemum sterling silver 5-light centerpiece candelabrum. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Sizable baluster shaft on raised squarish foot with corner volute supports. Four scrolled arms, each terminating in single socket, joined by applied leaves and surrounding central raised socket. Flowers and leaves wrapped around shaft and arms and applied to foot. Massive and sculptural. A hard-to-find solo stick in the fashionable Japonesque pattern that was first produced in 1880...

Gorham Sterling Silver Sauce or Gravy Ladle in the "Old Baronial" Pattern. Circa 1898 and 6" in length. The monogram is ES.

Art Nouveau glass and sterling silver inkwell. Made by Gorham in Providence. Rectilinear clear glass block bulbous well. Sides have carved ornament: Fluid scrollwork and stylized flowers. Short neck in sterling silver collar surrounded by squarish same mount and hinged cover. Engraved interlaced script monogram and interlaced scrolls, flowers, and leaves. Hallmark includes no. D788. Very good condition.

Rectangular frame (vacant) applied to upper left corner. Back plain. Hinged and cork-lined bayonet cover. Fully marked with maker’s stamp and phrase “14k Gold on Sterling”. Very good condition.

Wonderful pair of Hubley cast iron paperweights in the form of African-American children. The little girl wears a yellow jumper over a white blouse and the little boy wears yellow pants and a white shirt. This is the only pair of black memorabilia iron paperweights we’ve seen.

Round bowl with pierced ornament in same motif. A beautiful conflation of symbolism and function. Interlaced script monogram engraved on verso. This pattern is commonly known as Fruits and Flowers, and was in production from 1872 to before 1904...

Lovely Victorian bonbon spoon by Gorham in the 1894 “Imperial Chrysanthemum” pattern. The ornate handle is decorated with chrysanthemum blossoms, while the gilt bowl is pierced with a pattern suggesting chrysanthemum foliage. The back of the handle is as ornate at the front. The back is marked with old Gorham hallmark.

Origin: America, ca. 1900. Condition: excellent, all original including gilding, no monogram. Size: 4-3/4” long. Weight: 20.5 grams.

A renaissance bronze figure, Italian, Venice, and in a superb style with the stylistic hallmark of the Roccatagliata workshop, c. 16th.- early 17th. century.

The figure is made of bell metal and depicts a Cupid with spread wings holding a scroll with the portrait bust of Christ. He is standing on a stepped podium and mounted to a heavy black base.

Size: 15 cm. tall including the black stone base and 10,4 cm. for the figure alone.
