Circa 1860-80s, probably French. This horn and bone table snuff, in the ever popular book form is a lovely example of the late on trend in larger, decorative, figural snuff items. Very good condition.

Beautifully hand carved eagle. Nice tonal gradation. France circa 1915. This lovely example is representative of the fashion from turn of the century through early 1900's which included insects, flowers and birds. Dimensions: 4 3/8" H, 4 1/2" L.
This is a wonderful old primitive hunt horn, made from a carved out cow's horn. It is quite old, dating to the mid 1800's. The name of the owner, J. M. Murphey, is engraved into the horn. I believe the carved mouthpiece is made from wood. It measures about 10.5 inches long. Great piece of early American folk art and sporting memorabilia. Original price was $475.

An attractive oval variegated horn tobacco or snuff box, with a silver escutcheon plate bearing the name John Cutberson. The box shows minor wear, with losses at the lid edge and minor abrasion from use and age but is otherwise in very good condition. A scarce and desirable piece of 18th C. English George III snuff box fashioned from horn and with a tortoiseshell veneer on the cover. Circa 1790-1810. The cover is also inlaid with a floral design in silver and gold. Chip to one corner of cover (see photo detail); hinge is firm and carved from the horn, with a snug fit to the lid. Size: 3" long x 1.5" deep x .75" high.
Measurements: 5" tall when opened; 2" tall when closed with base and top diameter of 2.5"

I am dating this piece to the early part of the 20th century.
Authentic Sheep Horn is mounted in silver and has a stepped base. The style of base suggests a 1920s time frame and it is not weighted. The candle cup is removable for cleaning. It measures approximately 10 1/2" tall and 9" wide. Unmarked. The metal is probably a heavy silverplate and there is no wear. Great patina to horn.
A vintage 19th century turned cow horn dice or gaming cup with lid. Large set of 19th century deer antlers. This rack measures 32 inches across the top, 26 inches from the wall and 34 inches high. The back mounting board measures 14 by 12 inches. In unusually fine state of preservation, this handsome French country snuff box is formed of blond horn studded and bound with brass. Engraved with stylized designs of birds and flowers and highlighted with deep yellow stain and inlaid red enamel, this fine folk art piece dates from the mid-Nineteenth Century and measures approximately 4-1/8 inches by 2-3/4 inches and 7/8 of an inch deep.
