Circa 1900, a large needlework panel done in petit and gros point of a dog sitting on a stool in front of a window and bordered by various floral panels. Colors are cream and varied tones of reds, browns and tan. In a museum quality antique tiger maple frame with gold gilt liner and a wood panel back, it measures 23 x 26". Embroidery sight size measures 17.5” x 20.5".

An arresting colored and beautifully quilted cotton and some sort crape or crepe Amish quilt typical of Lancaster County Pennsylvania with the initials “DE” and the date 1916 embroidered in one corner of the red cotton back. In the central diamond the seven point star quilted star is surrounded by a feather wreath and a star in each of the four corners. The other parts of the center are quilted with small squares, flowers and chains enclosing flowers...

A large cotton pieced log cabin quilt that is slightly asymmetrical with nine rows to the height as in the picture and eight rows of squares wide all surrounded by a red border. The radiating dark and light bands (barn raising) from the center are not actually centered in the quilt, but start in the lower center as per the pictures. A very nice child size red, white and blue checked bonnet. It has the cardboard stays that are removable so the bonnet can be washed. I like this feature because you can hang the bonnet on a peg rack so much easier without the stays. It is in good condition it just one spot at the very top of the brim...see picture. It is 13" top to bottom and 9" front to back.

Early antique homespun cotton handkerchief in blue and white. It is very tightly woven and soft to the touch. It has two initials M and H. This is an American and possibly Shaker made. It is 17 1/2" by 19 1/2". The condition is excellent with some slight age discoloration. This was made for longevity! Circa 1830-40.

A three-color overshot coverlet with a pattern of snowballs and stripes on the dark ground side. The border on three sides is wavy lines and the fringe is a continuation of the white warp threads on the bottom and the red and blue weft threads on the sides. The warp is cotton and the weft is wool. The seam down the middle indicates that it was done on a narrow loom, though the sophisticated design and the three colors suggest that it was woven by a professional. A striking quilt in a deep red and black. Most importantly the quilt has, stitched on its reverse, "Sarah amd Anne Hoit, Burlington, VT 1838". It also has, stitched at a later time, "A Present to O. Sherman 1881". It is very uncommon to find a quilt, especially such an early one, with such complete information as to the maker, place and date...

A nice, vintage pair of 2-7/8 x 2-3/8" handmade kid leather gauntlet gloves c1900-10. These gloves have decorative stitchwork and pink dyed hightlights.
