Imperial Chrysanthemum sterling silver soup ladle. Made by Gorham in Providence, ca 1900. Tapering stem with waisted terminal and lobed round bowl. Dense ornament with flowers and leaves. Bowl interior gilt-washed with same. A nice serving piece in the late-comer Japonesque pattern, which was first produced in 1894. Fully marked including maker’s stamp. Very good condition.

Very rare sterling silver fish slice in the 1869 “Tiffany” pattern by Tiffany & Co. The pattern is characterized by a classical simplicity heightened with engraved strapwork in the Persian taste. The entire surface has an unusual matte finish. The pattern was modified slightly in later years and was called “Beekman”. The back is stamped “Tiffany & Co. Sterling Pat. 1869.”

Fabulous silver plate tray, heavily decorated and dripping in grapes. It is footed and has lovely handles which, along with the whole border are covered in grapes and leaves. This tray is about as fancy as you'll find and is in lovely condition. It measures 27 1/2" long x 18 1/2" wide, and hallmarked on the back (see photo).

This glass vase was produced in Bohemia in the late 19th century. It is artist signed “Ahne”. The vase measures 14 inches high. The vase has a matte finish that shades from white to gray. This porcelain ewer was produced in England by Royal Worcerster in 1885. The date letter in the marking indicates this year. It is model number 1048. The artist who painted this vase was Charles Baldwyn who worked at Worcester from 1880 to 1904. The ewer measures 7 ¼ inches high and has a diameter of 6 ¾ inches. This interesting little ceramic figure is purportedly from the Majapahit period (1293-1500)of Eastern Java. Possibly a religious figure, it is barefoot and has tribal head-dress and flowing robes. There does appear to be a light colored glaze underneath the surface dirt which I have not attempted to remove or clean. The statue is just under 20 cm in height and weighs 444 grams. This set of 12 porcelain plates were produced in England by Mintons in 1895. The plates bear the date cipher for that year. They have a diameter of 9 inches. They are made of fine, white bone china. The rims have fan shaped molded edges that create a scalloped border. In addition, pieced work is used to accent the decoration, giving the borders a lacy appearance. An exceptional sterling silver hand wrought cigar lighter from Shreve & Co. San Francisco. Heavy globe in organic silver base. Measures about 4 1/2" tall, 2 7/8" across and weighs about 415 grams. Shows a little wear and a couple of dings. Globe has silver mark differing from the Shreve signature on base. Finely hand hammered base possibly a custom piece. Great, rare example.

The ground color is deep cobalt blue. The reserve on the front is hand painted with a mischievous looking cupid with his bow and arrows. Very nice Imperial Russian clear pressed glass tea box. The design features fans, strawberry diamonds and Russian cane motifs. The box is bound with silverplated mountings and a lock. The box was almost certainly made by the “OtyM.F. Atelier”. Locked tea boxes were a holdover from earlier days when tea was a precious commodity that had to be kept safe from marauding servants.

This porcelain trembleuse chocolate cup and saucer was produced in Germany at the Royal Porcelain Manufacturer, Berlin, between 1830 and 1840. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/2 inches and the cup is 2 7/8 inches high. The cup has two handles and the saucer has a reticulated gallery attached to it to hold the cup in place.
