Large Edwardian big-game sterling silver trophy cup. Made by Gorham in Providence, ca 1910. Baluster bowl with twist-mounted horn handles. These 10 porcelain double handled cups and saucers were produced in Germany by the Helena Wolfsohn Dresden decorating studio in the 1890s. The saucers have a diameter of 5 1/2 inches and the cups are 2 inches high. There are Rococo style molded designs in the delicate, translucent porcelain. The handles are also done in that ornate fashion. Each piece is beautifully hand painted with pastoral scenes of young lovers in gardens...

A simple but elegant brandy warmer with beaded lid and base rims, the thumb rest on the lid molded as a scallop shell, the angled handle of aged wood with a nice patina.

The piece is 3 3/8" tall, and 2 7/8" wide, 5 1/8" wide including the handle. Excellent condition.

Antique American sterling silver christening cup by the Whiting Manufacturing Company, circa 1890. This elegant large cup has a slightly waited body with a soft, warm finish that has never been monogrammed. In excellent original condition it measures 3.5" tall and 3" diameter at the base.

Offered is this beautiful, geometric-patterned, cameo-cut glass bowl or vase, made by Thomas Webb & Sons of Stourbridge, England. Made on two-layered cased glass and having a clear applied foot, the bowl is 4 inches (10 cm) wide and 2 inches (5 cm) high. It is in excellent condition. Signed on base (see last picture).

A mulberry transfer English Staffordshire plate in the Athens pattern by William Adams & Sons made c. 1850. The inking is crisp and sharp, even on the backside as evidenced by the clear registry mark. The shape has 14 edges. Adams was one of the longest lived potters in England, operating as late as the 1990s.

This is an extremely fine early 19th century balustroid wine glass made in the 18th century style. It is lead glass, and has a large funnel bowl which sits atop a triple ring collar, below which is a center section of an unusual and uncommon cylinder knop, followed by two angular knops. It has a conical folded foot with a rough, snapped pontil.

The glass is in perfect condition, with no restoration, and displays good tooling marks and striations throughout...

This a rare poesy holder, of sterling silver with an intricate cased foliate design and long pin and ring attached. Known also as Tussie-Mussies, the posy holder was a lady's fashion accessory resembling a small vase and meant to to hold the bouquet of flowers brought by a courting 'gentleman caller'. To show her acceptance of him, the lady would secure the flowers into the posy holder with the attached long pin and wear the holder to a ball...

Most likely French, 19th century. A nineteenth-imitation of the extremely popular souvenir boxes made in Bilston at the end of the eighteenth century (see 5218-18). However, it clearly dates to the late nineteenth century. The lug and ribbed banding on the metal hinge, and the inferior quality of the painting identify this box as a nineteenth-century creation...

This porcelain oil lamp was produced in England by the Copeland Factory in the late 18th or early 19th century. There are no markings on this piece but we have seen the exact design on other items identified from the Copeland factory. It measures 4 3/4 inches from the handle to the spout and is 1 1/2 inches high. The porcelain appears to be ironstone china. The shape of the lamp is taken from the ancient Greeks. There is a scene with figures done in high relief on the top...

This pair of porcelain vases was produced in France by Paul Blot, Maison Jacquel, at rue del la Pais, Paris. Both have hand painted signatures. They are 7 3/4 inches tall with a diameter of 5 inches at the widest point. The porcelain is fine and translucent. The ground color is creamy beige. The vases are exquisitely hand painted. The front and back of each vase has bouquets of vibrant pink roses. Blossoms are budding and in full bloom. They are accented with blue feather-like plumes and vines...
