This porcelain vase was produced in Germany by the Donath Dresden Studio in the 1890s. It is 9 1/2 inches tall and 4 inches across the handles. The vase has a unique shape with rococo style feet, handles and molded relief. Every inch is filled with delightful details. The front and back panels have hand painted scenes of young lovers in garden settings. They are dressed in 18th century costumes. The opposite panels are painted with iridescent lavender and cream colored reserves...

Twelve eight pointed stars made of cotton printed in orange with small yellow clover-like shapes arranged in rows of twos and threes with alternating white squares all enclosed in three bands of the same printed fabric. The outside band is turned over the edge to join the white cotton backing. Cotton seeds visible in the stuffing. All hand stitched. Very good quilting with running feathers and cross stitching over much of the surface. There is an embroidered, “E” on the back in one corner...

A very well designed and executed eight point Star of Bethlehem pieced cotton quilt with excellent quilting. The pieces around the edges are white with very small pale blue printed sprigs. The pieces for the star are all solid colors. The backing is printed green cotton in a small pattern. Quilted with feather wreaths in the corners and partial ones between the points of the stars. All of the sewing is done by hand. 72 inches square...

A Silver Plated Revolving Bacon or Breakfast Warming Dish or Tureen with a Roll Top and an Ivory Button on the Handle. Two removable liners, one solid and one pierced. Made by Mappin & Webb, circa 1890, and marked "Triple Deposit", "Princes Plate" and "London & Sheffield". Dimensions; 13" long x 8" deep x 7.5" high. Excellent condition.

An elegant and superbly proportioned antique English toasting wine glass with a a drawn flared trumpet bowl atop a plain stem and conical foot; rough pontil. A beautiful, tall, and graceful glass, and quite uncommon in lead, as this one is.

Hand painted in dark underglaze blue with a serrated rim this large bowl is soft paste porcelain. The decoration of a Chinese arrangement of flowers and twining plants is typical of Tournai. Height 4.5 inches (11 cm) and 11 inches (28 cm) diameter. Late 18th century.

Condition: no chips, cracks or repairs. Some scratches to the interior of the bowl and small flaw in the body of the bowl.

This style of decoration was popular at the time and still looks excellent today.

A Thomas Hawkes Diamond Cut Crystal Cocktail Pitcher, with a Silver Rim by Stone Stirling Silver Co. (1896-1903). Hawkes was the Co-founder, in 1903, of Steuben Glass Works. Circa 1900. Dimensions; 8.5". Some minor dimples on the silver, but in excellent condition overall.

Very nice Chinese export porcelain tea pot in Canton decoration. The slightly tapered drum-shaped body is decorated with typical Canton scenes of islands, bridges, boats, etc. and is accented with a raincloud border along the top edge. The lid, spout and handle are also decorated with typical motifs...

A striking quilt in a deep red and black. Most importantly the quilt has, stitched on its reverse, "Sarah amd Anne Hoit, Burlington, VT 1838". It also has, stitched at a later time, "A Present to O. Sherman 1881". It is very uncommon to find a quilt, especially such an early one, with such complete information as to the maker, place and date. The piece is approximately 82" square, with the cutouts being 16" square.

This handled American coin silver cup was made by William K. Vanderslice in San Francisco, CA, circa 1870, consisting of a simple tapered cylindrical form with rope banding around rim and base. Vanderslice was an early California silversmith, working in the mid 19th century. He became widely acclaimed for his fine silverwork. A wonderful sterling silver trout set in Towle's 1884 "Arlington" pattern. The handles are decorated in the repousse style with a profusion of roses and foliage. The decoration lends itself to being mixed with many of the repousse patterns from the Baltimore area. It is the blade of the trout knife, wonderfully decorated with an engraved trout leaping into the air after biting a lure (the entire casting rod in the background), that really sets these servers apart.
