Superb Georgian sterling silver swing-handle basket. The bottom of the basket is formed of a silver sheet stamped and pierced in an intricate grapevine motif. The sides, constructed of interwoven silver wire, rise from the base and are decorated with grape cluster appliqués. The rim suggests grape vines, as well. The swing handle is decorated at the top with another cluster of grapes and foliage. The whole is raised on acanthus leaf feet...

A lovely satin glass 7" raspberry red and white drape Nailsea vase with applied handles by Wheeling Glass. The pontil is unpolished.

Handsome Victorian covered brass box with a beaver finial. The beaver is cast in bronze and is shown chomping on a tree stump. The detail and workmanship on the finial is excellent. The box will polish very nicely, but we have left the original patina.

Circa 1890. Condition: excellent, a small ding at the bottom edge. Size: 5-3/4” tall; 2-7/8” diameter.

A unusually fine example of a scrambled weight by the New England Glass Company. The weight includes latticinio twists and millefiore canes. The set-up includes a complex red, white and blue cane (visible through the concave bottom of the weight) formed of a heart silhouette surrounded by stars. The canes are tightly packed for a very nice appearance. The glass is quite clear.

Origin: America, circa 1870. Condition: very good, a few small surface nicks on the crown, no cracks...

Very fine Art Deco vase decorated along the top and bottom with green-cut-to-clear floral friezes in Baccarat's "Frise Verte" pattern. The decorative bands have strong, angular lines that complement the straight sides of panel cutting of the vase itself. The bottom has a polished pontil. This pattern appears in Baccarat's catalogue of 1916.

Origin: France, ca. 1920. Condition: excellent, no chips or cracks. Size: 7-5/8” tall; 3” diameter.

Very nice Gorham sterling silver pin cushion/sewing box. The arched rim of the pierced silver holder has a slightly Gothic appearance. The silk velvet top lifts off to reveal an opening for storing thread, buttons, etc. The interior is lined with the original lime green silk. The bottom is stamped with Gorham's older hallmark.

Origin: America, circa 1900. Condition: silver is excellent, the velvet covering shows the normal considerable wear. Size: 4-3/8" x 3-1/4" x 2-1/4" tall.

A wonderful set of six Victorian silverplate napkin rings. The outsides are decorated with two cherubs grasping baroque reserves framed with swirls of acanthus leaves, pendant bellflowers and other ornate decorative devices. The insides are brightly gilt. It is very unusual to find a complete matching set of Victorian napkin rings.

Origin: probably American, circa 1890. Condition: all original, no monograms, normal wear the the plating on the insides and outsides...

Finely detailed carved ivory monkey face, c.1920's. He appears to be laughing with open mouth and measures 1 9/16" in diameter. There an open crack due to age at the top left -see photo #2. This is a fine Georgian period English tea cup and saucer dish, one of a pair, unmarked, but probably Hilditch ca. 1825. The pedestal cup, with London bone china style handle, is decorated with a simple scrolling border and stylized leaves in shades of aqua and puce; the matching saucer is deeply dished, which is typical of the period. Condition: Cup: excellent, with several tiny glaze chips below handle; saucer: some age appropriate crackling to glaze...

This is a lovely piece of 18th C European needlework, brilliant true-colored, made of vegetable dyed threads on very fine open weave homespun linen, having pulled work in the flower centers, metallic threads within the flower stems and a symmetrical block pattern, Spanish or Italian, likely a piece of curtain or clothing; Condition: Good with some stitch loss framed in glass with blue matting which does not do this piece justice, measures 12 1/2" x 15 1/2 "

Six assorted sterling demitasse spoons including a decorative Gorham spoon with a cherub(see photo #4 and bottom spoon in photo #2), c. 1870-1920. They are each marked "STERLING" and "GORHAM mark, TOWLE FONTANA, 1891 C.L. RUTH & SON, hallmarks". They range in length from 3 7/8" to 4 1/4". Each has a different design, two with cherubs(Gorham and another), floral, two border, and one with initials. Excellent condition...

An unusually nice silverplated studs box, the top decorated with repousse chrysanthemums. The only clue to the box’s purpose of holding a gentleman’s shirt studs and cufflinks is the figural stud finial on the top. The bottom is marked for the Middletown Plate Co. This is a much more decorative example than most.
