This is an exquisite late 19th century mirror, directly inspired of the Louis XVI style approximately a century earlier and originally coming from Provence (South of France) as indicated by the olive tree branches flanking the heraldic shaped central medallion standing upon a rectangular frame embellished with twisted ribbon pattern. The mirror is original and several minor scratches and dents can be seen due to the age. Circa date 1880. Dimensions 27”high/ 16”wide.

This is a magnificent middle part of the 19th Century Gilded Mirror made during the reign of Napoleon III boasting a breathtaking pierced-carved cartouche centering a shell surrounded by acanthus pattern standing upon the intricately embellished frame enclosing the original mirror. This is a very pretty late 18th century Mirror made from solid pine by the end of the 18th century, during the reign of King Louis XVI consisting of a lovely pierced sculpted cartouche with floral embellishment upon the rectangular frame, accented with raie de cour pattern and flanked by tassels, surrounding the original mirror, which is indeed very foggy with a lot of corrosion marks due to the age. Exquisite English Regency Hand-carved Eagle Convex Gilt Mirror c.1820. Featuring Crisp hand-carved eagle crest securing a ball and chain, raised balls on the carved frame with later convex mirror plate.
Condition Notes: A few small cracks in decorative frame of mirror (see pictures). Vegetal motif at bottom is slightly loose. Overall excellent.
