An antique gilt wood mirror in the Chippendale style, probably European. An oriental figure playing a musical instrument sits atop a highly embellished frame. Mirror has been replaced. Frame is in very nice condition. Overall 52" high by 34" wide.

This splendid piece is boasting a pierced cartouche sculpted from pine, centering a lovely Heart accented with floral patterns. This is a beautiful late 19th century Mirror, directly inspired of the Louis Philippe period more or less sixty years earlier, consisting of an elegantly simple arched frame embellished with floral engraving, mounted by an impressive pierced carved cartouche composed of floral and acanthus patterns.
