Pair of antique Japanese Inari foxes hand carved out of granite. Each has traces of the original mineral pigment. Also called zenko, these good spirit kitsune (foxes) are specifically associated with the goddess, Inari.
Believed to be both messengers and guardians, kitsune served Inari in her role as goddess of agriculture, specifically rice. Part of the folklore surrounding the fox is it’s ability to shape shift into human form...

This rich carved Austrian rural style armoire comes from the Pinzgau valley near Salzburg. He is made in the Renaissance style, but he dates later at about 1740. Softwood ( pine needle wood ) Very nice restored condition. H : 72,5 inc. B : 48,5 inc. Deep : 22,5 inc.

This is another carved Pinzgauer armoire, this piece is from near Goldegg in the Pinzgau valley. This softwood ( pine needle wood ) piece is made in the Baroquian style, it also dates at about 1740 . Very nice restored condition ! H : 73 inc. B : 49,5 inc. Deep : 26 inc.

This is a Austrian rural style chest, a so called carved " Bauerntruhe " from Styria. Softwood ( pine needle wood ) This piece from about 1750 originaly was only to open from upwards. To make this nice piece more useable for everydays use, there recentely was made 2 doors into the front side of the chest. These 2 doors are not visible, when they are closed. As is all coffee tables of this type, this lovely marble turtle top table has been cut down to make coffee table height. It measures 21" tall x 36" wide x 26" deep and is in lovely condition.

Beautiful flame mahogany dressing table with marble top, all in excellent original condition. This lovely table is transitional from Empire to Victorian, circa 1870. It has a shell stretcher, and perfectly matched flame mahogany drawers. It measures approximately 73 1/2" tall x 39 1/2" wide x 23" deep.

This beautiful bed, circa 1860, is exquisitely carved rosewood. It has deep, three-dimentional lilies of the valley, along with other flowers and ornaments. It measures 7 feet tall x 58" wide x 80" long. We have a double matress on it now, but there is room both in the length and wide for a larger matress to be made. This beautiful bed is in terrific original condition.

Beautiful American walnut Renaissance Revival four-door bookcase. This beautiful piece is circa 1870, completely professionally restored. It measures 71" tall at the center and 66" tall at each end. It has four doors and four drawers underneath. The bookcase measures 14" deep at its center, and 11" deep at each end. It is 80" wide and ready to go into your home.

This very unusual table measures 52" square when closed, and has four leaves, each measuring 11 1/2" wide, bringing the table to 98" long when full extended. There is a center leg for support. The base has huge paws with decoration on the pedestal. It is in perfect condition.

Lovely set of eight American oak dining chairs consisting of two armchairs and six side chairs. They all measure 39" tall, and have paw feet in front.

Lovely American tiger oak server with bevelled mirrored back, two drawers over one long drawer over two doors with a small shelf between them. It has Queen Anne legs and the moulding on top of the mirror is curved, ending with small rosettes. Thie piece measures 45" wide x 56" tall x 22 1/2" deep.

This lovely canterbury or magazine rack is all reticulated walnut, circa 1880. It measures 24" wide x 14" deep x 25" tall and looks great from all angles.

Beautiful set of twelve mahogany side chairs, all professionally reconditioned. Victorian rococo style, circa 1920. Measure 39" tall x 18" wide x 16" deep. So very hard to find a set of twelve chairs, and these are truly lovely.

One of the best tables we've ever had the pleasure of selling, this mahogany table is 60" round when closed. There are twelve leaves, each 9" wide, making the table extend to fourteen feet when completely open. There is a center for support when open. The center pedestal is heavily carved with acanthus leaves ending in paw feet. The table is circa 1870. It has been professionally restored and is in perfect condition. Tables like this are terribly hard to find, and we are thrilled to be off...

Beautiful mahogany banded dining table, Federal style with double pedestal with brass decoration and casters. Measures 44" wide x 70" long without leaves, and includes two 18" leaves so that it is 106" when fully extended.

This absolutely beautiful set of American carved mahogany chairs is top of the line. They are Chippendale in style, circa 1900. There are acanthus leaves on the knees and ball and claw feet. The two armchairs measure 39" tall x 25 1/2" wide, and the six side chairs measure 39" tall x 22" wide.

Beautiful rosewood settee and matching armchair, attributed to Thomas Brooks, circa 1870. Settee measures 6'7" long x 33" deep x 43" tall. Armchair measures 27" wide x 33" deep x 45" tall. Both pieces have been professionally restored to their original condition and newly upholstered.

Beautiful walnut burl three piece Renaissance Revival bedroom set circa 1880 consisting of bed measuring 64" wide x 80" long x 7'8" tall; marble top washstand measuring 32" wide x 21" deep x 47" tall; marble top dresser measuring 44" wide x 22" deep x 8' tall. Both the bed and dresser have urn finials, and the whole set is in immaculate original condition. The graining of the burl on this set, especially on the bed, is exceptional. All three pieces are a matched set and were always together.

Very unusual American victorian check of walnut and burl. It has two small drawers on top and four large drawers on the bottom. The design is one of flowers, and is framed with a burl border. Circa 1880, very different.

Empire style three stack lawyers bookcase, professionally refinished. There is a drawer on the bottom, and an original label on the back from Lundstrom. It measures 48" tall x 33 1/2" wide.

A Bannister Back Side Chair; New England, c. 1750-1780. Dimensions; 50" high x 18:" wide x 19.5" seat height. Very Good condition.

A walnut bracket and shelf intricately carved with a panoply of Masonic symbols. The shelf portion itself folds flat against the back bracket, and is supported by a swing-out brace.

Pencilled writing on the back of this item says that it was purchased in 1938 and was believed to be over 100 years old then, which is probably about 25 years on the optimistic side. The shelf has been shellaced or varnished; 19" high, 10 1/2" wide, 6" deep.

Made in Rockville, Illinois, this is probably the best dining room set we've ever had. It consists of a rare zebra wood top table, two arm chairs, four side chairs, large server, small buffet and closed china cabinet with fabulous inlay.
