This is an adorable Italian Rococo Sconce from the beginning of the 20th century consisting of an acanthus rosette shaped base holding the elegantly scrolled arm which would need to be rewired to the US Standard. Note minor chips, dents and scratches can be seen here and there due to the age. The arm comes off the base for easy wiring. Circa date 1900. Dimensions 14”long/ 7 ½”diameter (Base).
This pair of lovely antique gilt bronze sconces in the French Louis XV style feature five electrified candles, and were exceptionally cast and finished. They have remnants of old cloth-sheathed wiring and old five inch tall candle covers. We will be happy to rewire and add new candle covers for an additional fee. Measures: approximately 14" wide.
This set of four vintage gilded wooden sconces in the neoclassical Louis XV style feature two candle arms with wooden faux candles emanating from a central stalk in form of a stylized cornucopia holding grain with tassels at the bottom with balls on chain connecting to each arm. They measure approximately 12.5" tall. Previously electrified in the early 20th century as witnessed by the circular on/off switches...
Included here is a set of four matching gilt bronze sconces in the French Louis XV style, circa 1890s. Measures: 23 x 12 x 6 in (58 x 30 x 15 cm). Each has sockets and remnants of old wiring, but need to be rewired prior to use. We may add sockets and wiring for an additional fee. These sconces will compliment any neoclassical decor such as English Regency (Georgian), Rococo (Louis XV/XVI), Empire, or American Federal.
Wired in the early 20th century is the very hard to find bronze gas wall lamp with a Chinese porcelain famille rose Mandarin font. Condition: May want to rewire, paint the bronze, remove black finish, or leave as is. Measures 10" by 6" high. Porcelain font measures 1.5" by 2.75"
This pair of gilt bronze sconces in the neoclassical style feature anthemions (palmettes) at the top and bottom, and a single candle arm decorated with an eagle's head. Each measures 14.2" tall, 2.8" wide and 7" deep. They have been regilded and have a brilliant finish. We may add sockets and wiring for an additional fee. A Pair of Dore Bronze Louis XVI Style Sconces circa 1900
The back plate made up of two ribbons that are headed by a bow and are lopped at the bottom to rise up and curve out to hold a bobeche and tulip shaped nozzle. The back reveals a small channel to fit these sconces with electricity.
