A vintage Japanese Geta Bako (chest for shoe storage) made of Tochinoki (Horse Chestnut) and Hinoki (Cypress) woods. Two sliding doors hide a storage area separated by 2 removable wood shelves. Bottom drawers provide additional storage. The Geta Bako was traditionally used at the entrance to a Japanese home to allow family members to remove and store their shoes before entering the home. This beautiful bed, circa 1860, is exquisitely carved rosewood. It has deep, three-dimentional lilies of the valley, along with other flowers and ornaments. It measures 7 feet tall x 58" wide x 80" long. We have a double matress on it now, but there is room both in the length and wide for a larger matress to be made. This beautiful bed is in terrific original condition.

Unusual pair of black lacquer small traveling hinged boxes. Each box is the same size with three individually sized drawers located behind the hinged front door. All original hand forged iron hardware. Side handles swivel up allowing insert of a hardwood pole for ease of carrying them about.

Circa 1910-1920 British Hunting Silk Hat with Leather Box and Original Bottle of Cleaner and its mailing box. Custom leather box, lined with burgundy velvet, measures 13' by 12" by 8" with brass fittings and original key. Locking device works and all straps and closures intact. Some superficial nicks to the leather and roughness to leather around handle. Some neatsfoot oil would cover in these nicks. The silk top hat, made for the hunts, is black with inside diameter of 7.5 and 6.5"...

Korean chest with beautiful burl wood front panels, with handmade brass hardware, with etched floral patterns and designs. Three rectangular drawers line the top, and below are two large rectangular doors with a large brass backplate resembling a flower or sun.
