A unusually large and massive 17th. century lock, possibly German.
A complicated lock with what looks like two keyholes and mounted on a studded iron plate, very heavy!
Size: 36 cm. wide and 31 cm. tall - which makes it the largest lock in the collection of European decorative ironworks that we're currently handling.
Provenance: Danish Private collection of Grethe Pedersen, Ledøje, Denmark, ca. 1950-1997...

Late 19th century French round bronze plaque of Baby Moses. Quite heavy for its size, the plaque has 3 small drilled holes where it was attached to something. Has a wonderful patina that only comes with age. Measures 4.75" diameter and about 3/4" deep.

This rope bedframe has warmth which only time and wear can give. It has head and foot boards with some extra touches such as spool posts and turned legs. It retains its bed rails making modernization a plausible option. This bedframe is a very nice example with extra details which the average bedframe of its era did not have.
I conservatively date this bedframe to mid 19th century but it could be somewhat earlier, but if pushed I place date to c. 1840...
A fantastic late 19th C. Eastlake walnut slant front desk with glass doors for the book case and solid doors for lower storage. It has interior drawers and cubby spaces. Additional features include red felt on the desk; detailed, applied foliate moldings, arched glass, serpentine bonnet, and a rare brass candlestick holder.
