This walking stick, we believe, was produced in France. It has an inscription with the date, August 3, 1897, presented to Lewis Boisell. The gold is marked with a 2 in a circle, 49A and a makers’ mark in a cartouche that we have not identified. The stick measures 37 inches long. The craftsmanship exhibited in the hand chased knob is of the finest quality a gentleman of high esteem would require. The shaft is made of fine ebony wood. Please pardon the glare on the photos.
