Beautiful 19th century rosewood box containing bottles and measuring items for a doctor to put together his own remedies for patients. The beautifully grained rosewood box measures 10" tall x 12" wide x 6" deep. It has its original lock (with key) and recessed brass handles on the box, along with a bottom drawer that is locked by a brass pin that has to be removed in order to gain access to it. Symphonion double comb music box in the Rococo style, Model 25c. This beautiful box is pictured in the book "The Musical Box - A Guide for Collectors." The case, which looks like beautifully carved wood, is actually a composition and this particular model is very rare to find in such good condition.
