Pair of African carved ivory figures depicting a family with the woman carrying a jar on her head and holding it with the left hand and with the right hand carrying another vessel. The man holding a cane by left hand and his child by his right side. The man figure has a height if 11 inches and woman is 10.25 inches tall standing on a .75 inch wooden base. Both item bear very nice dark patina, in good condition with losses to woman's necklace and left earring.

The grip carved of a single section of ebony, with disk pommel and flared guard mounted in engraved silver. The straight, double-edged blade with engraved borders and later incised Latin characters. The paneled sheath covered in leather with mounts of white crocodile skin. Mid-19th century. Overall length 31 cm. Condition Report: Good condition.

A Cameroons (Duala) oblong stool carved in openwork with the word KAMERUN and on the reverse with a pair of confronting leopards. Dimensions: 20 ½ in. wide x 12 ¾ in. high x 9 ½ in. deep.

Age cracks. Old repair to back of openwork panel. Early 20th cent.

The stool presumably dates from the period, pre- 1916, when the Cameroons were a German colony.
