A rare large pictorial beaded Iroquois animal whimsey, circa 1890. Depicting what looks like a mythological deer or elk figure. A great folk art piece. Like many of you, I love the colorful gem points the most. You might have noticed that I specialize in this type of point and most of my points are in the gem category. I do not know what material this point is made from. It is that unusual. I can only classify it as a chalcedony. I do not know what type this point is. It was found in Nebraska. It is expertly chipped. In fact, you cannot tell which side is side A. Both sides are equally masterfully chipped. A G-10 all the way. It is 1 5/8" long...

This is an extremely rare assemblage of five bone gorgets. The top one is river-stained and highly engraved, almost unheard of. The middle one is very thin and also engraved. It is a 5" long by 1-1/2" wide...

HIGH QUALITY LARGE NARINO CAPULI PEDESTAL BOWL, Capuli cultural complex (ca. 850 A.D. – 1500 A.D.)

This beautiful Olmec maskette is 36mm long and 27mm wide. It is made from transparent high grade flawless quartz with very high energy. It has a very solid hole at the top center making it perfect to add a gold loop for everyday wear as a pendant. It is nicely scooped in the back. There are two things that make this piece extremely rare and desirable. The first is the size. In 40 years of collecting, I have seen only two authentic Olmec maskettes that are this small. A silver Fred Harvey open-top creamer. Early-mid twentieth century. Engraving on bottom reads, "International Silver Co.; Silver Soldered; Fred Harvey; 09; 4 oz; 61[boxed in]". Exterior in excellent-mint condition, mild corrosion on the interior bottom. 3 1/4" tall; 2" diameter.

This pointed bone splitter tool from the Bill Peterson Collection and ex-Jim Bennett is 5" L, including a 2" glued piece. It was found in Kentucky and shows incredible patina. It has a drilled hole for suspension. It is just a really neat bone tool in unusual form. It has been preserved with an Elmer's glue mix which many old collections used. I will hate to see this one go.

These four points were found in the Arkansas River area of southeast Colorado and are from the old-time collection of Arley Hudson. The longest one is 1 1/8". All are very thin and expertly chipped. They are from the Mississippian Period C1000AD.
