A rare and quite attractive set of two knives and a sicle type of cutter (3), knapped in finely patinated Silex, Egyptian stoneage / Neolithic period, 5200 - 4000 BC.

These comes from an old French collection and the two knives with tags in white and black ink giving the finding place to 'Fayoum' and 'Le Fayoum' - a region just south of Cairo, close to the Nile.

Rarely seen and a must for collectors of Egypt antiquities.

Ancient Egyptian artifacts from the Predynastic Period, specifically the Naqada II (Gerzean) era, which dates back to around 3600 - 3150 B.C. The artifact is a hand-carved war mace head made of reddish-brown stone, possibly Breccia. The mace head has a globular shape with a large cylindrical perforation in the center, which tapers towards one end. An ancient Egyptian alabaster plumb-bob with suspension holes on the sides and on top. New Kingdom, 1570-1070 BC. 1 5/8 inches high. From an old NYC scholarly collection. A plumb bob is a weight, with a pointed tip on the bottom, suspended from a string and used as a vertical direction as a reference point. Ancient egyptian carnelian scarab amulet 2,6 cm

Scarab amulets were used for their magical rejuvenating properties by both the living and the dead. Scarabs were used by living individuals as seals from the start of the Middle Kingdom (ca. 2055 BCE) onwards. Relics of the Nile is pleased to present his wonderful twin-handled Egyptian alabastron. The alabastron is nicely banded and well-sculpted with a cylindrical neck and disc rim. The alabastron is presented on a custom base for easy display and measures 3.25" in height (3.7" tall including the base". Egypt, Late Period ca 664 - 350 B.C..

An interesting and beautiful bifacial seal, New Kingdom, reign of Amenhoteb the III, 14th. century BC.

The seal carved in brown steatite. A commemorative seal with one side dedicated to father of Amenhoteb II, Thutmosis III and engraved with his cartouche and throne name. The other side engraved with the name of Amenhoteb twice.

Size: 20 x 16 mm.

Condition: Extremely fine, nice patina and light deposits in the devices.

A splendid large steatite scarab from the New Kingdom, 16th. century BC- 11th. century BC.

The scarab is carved with a vase (?) flanked by a pair of hieroglyphs for the Cobra / Uraeus and further down the scarab beetle finely outlined in between hieroglyphs. The scarab is also finely carved on the back and with tiny details of body, head and legs. Note also the cylindrical finials for the horisontical drill.

Size: 22 mm. long and 16 mm...

A lovely somewhat pear-shaped stone mace head, carved in a fine speckled dark diorite stone, Egyptian Pre-Dynastic period, c. 3rd. mill. BC.

Finely polished and symethrically drilled and measuring 5,5 cm. in diameter.

Condition: Good very fine, intact with minor wear and patina.

The amulet well-modelled in a fine glossy black obsidian

Egyptian head with side lock, probably of Harpokrates, the infant son of Isis and Horus.
The face shows almond shaped eyes, a flattish nose, and slit mouth. The well preserved left ear appears just below the partially present side lock. The neck slightly bent to the figure’s left side.
The head most likely belongs to an ithyphallic limestone figure. For a related example, cf. acc. no. ST58 in the British Museum database.

An ancient Egyptian steatite scarab with the royal prenomen name Men-kheper-Re (Thutmosis III); including an adjective or descriptive phrase stating the good god + Amun (very schematic). 3/4 inch. 18th dynasty, 1479 BC to 1425 BC. From a Florida estate. Said to be purchased in the early 1980s.

An Egyptian Cosmetic vessel, Middle to New Kingdom, 2nd. millenium BC.

An alabaster cosmetic vessel of squat baluster form, a rather substantial and attractive specimen with ancient remnants of Kohl inside!

Size: 56 mm. tall and 53 mm. wide.

Condition: Nice VF, the lip with some small edge chip, othervise superb and attractive for it's type.

An attractive and scarcely seen cosmetic vessel, Egyptian, Middle-New Kingdom, early-mid 2nd. millenium BC.

The fine jar, ovoid in form with a pointed base and a collar at the mouth.

Size: c. 60 mm. tall.

Condition: Nice Very fine, small chips to the rim and minor wear, othervise intact.

Ancient egyptian motto scarab with torquise blue glaze 13mm

A faience motto scarab. The base is inscribed with the characters Reed, Nefer and Neb, which together make up an Amun trigram.
