Rare Apulian kalathos with cylindrical body widening to a flared mouth. The rim set off by incised grooves, the foot with three rounded ridges. The inside of the base with a red wash.
Decorated with brown glaze shading to black. The finger marks just above the ring foot show that the vessel was dipped into the glaze.

Intriguing Daunian kyathos featuring an incurving shallow bowl and a handle that widens towards the top to form stylized horns, a tiny animal head inserted in between.
The cream-hued surface shows a delicate linear decoration, both on the handle and on the outside of the bowl.

Rare yellow-slipped patera with sculptural handle in the shape of a naked youth with arms upraised as if to support the shallow bowl upon his head.
The representation of the handle follows conventions prevailing since the Archaic Period.

A very impressive and extremely rare sculptural plaque in pottery, Greek, ca. 2nd. century BC.

Gorgoneion is depicted in 3D on top with wings and a lovely expression, the round Aegis below.

Size: 18 cm. wide and the head 4,5 cm. deep and 7-8 cm. tall.

Condition: Intact in all it's parts. The Aegis reassembled from fragments.

The torus ring foot with carefully turned and glazed inside edge. The reserved surface with a crimson wash. Excellent brilliant black glaze.
