Greek Campanian Black-glazed Dishes, 350-300 BC Black-glazed dishes of shallow form with thick wall and slightly flared base. One with a small offset between the rounded lip and the foot. Shallow rounded floors.

Thin walled terracotta plaquette with the head of the scary Medusa in relief. Appealing style, with round face and wavy locks of thick hair.
Medusa is depicted as a beautiful woman, in a sharp change from her monstrous appearance in earlier periods.
Pierced on top for suspension. The thin make points to an amulet rather than a loom weight.

An attractive Volute Krater - an amphora like vessel - with Volutes at the top of each handle, with reddish slip, Canusia, Southern Italy, Greek period, c. 4th. century BC.

Condition: Very fine for the fragile type. Crack at the top and handles / rim, reattached but the vessel looks nice with original surfaces and greyish-brown patina.

The lip around the spout is shaped as an oversized disc. Its back was bent by the potter to create space for an unusual ring handle of square cross-section.
Decorated with orange and purplish black bands alternating with very thin fillets and diamond patterns. The front of the neck with chevrons, one of them spiky, both flanked by a branch or shrub...

The first of these molds depicts a Makara surrounded by floral swirls. It measures 3-1/4" in both height and width. The second shows an animal face or mask and measures 1-3/4" in both height and width. Rubberized impressions included for both.

The Pyxis remains completely intact with no restoration and features a design of palmettes with a nicely detailed figure of Eros on the side. The lid remains in excellent condition with attached handle with braided "knot of Hercules" design. This is a truly rare form and an excellent display piece. 16.5 cm in height. An extremely rare and important Etruscan offer bowl (omphalos), made in thick terracotta glazed pottery, 400-300 BC.

This shallow terracotta bowl is moulded after bronze vessels and has a dome-like omphalos emerging from its interior. Around the omphalos are deep relief decorations. Very rare in terracotta.

The exterior is finely glazed and the bowl has two holes for hanging, typical for the Etruscan ware.
